I'm going to do my bit to help the lads tomorrow. I won't be watching for the first time in god knows how many years. I see it as a win-win. If we draw/lose I'll be gutted, but at least I won't have seen it live, and if we win then I'll feel as if I've played my part 😎

I just couldn’t do it — not watch I mean.

Yes if u mean the one opposite the velvet coaster (wethers)
I think he means the one at Starr Gate, where the tram depot now is.
I've got a DVD with loads of Blackpool down the years TC stuff. It includes the MoTD highlights of the 1975 Blackpool v Sunderland second division league game which we won 3-2. There wre lots of Sunderland at the game. We went into an early 2-0 lead but in the second half it was one way traffic in favour of your boys. Eventually the pressure told and it went 2-2 (Halom and Kerr). Then you got a penalty - which a Sunderland fan I know agrees it wasn't a penalty. The 'Golden Gamble' ticket seller was jumping around behind the goal to put off Billy Hughes - a referee would stop that from happening today - and John Burridge saved.very late on we whacked the ball downfield, Mickey Walsh took it on his chest, turned inside (away from the attentions of Moncur and Guthrie) and hit a curling left footer from 25 yards beyond the reach of the diving Jim Montgomery and into the net. I was with my Dad in the terracing behind that goal. It was MoTD Goal of the Season that year but even without that accolade, what a match!
