I'm not upto date on either story, but have I got this right? The Labour Party spent all day yesterday calling the Tories out over cronyism and called them sleaze (no problem with this). However, today Labour MPs from the region have called on the governments support to get a deal done? On top of that one of these MPs has actually said that the government getting involved is in the interest of all football fans.

Sunderland 6 leagues ( most with about 9 teams in it) 1 FA cup

Newcastle 4 leagues, 6 FA cups, 1 charity shield, 1 fairs/UEFA cup

I’m right
You seem to have missed off an FA Cup there mate.

ps - You also mention your charity shield but have ignored the one we won.

PPS - Number of teams in the top flight in the year of championship wins;

Sunderland

Hardly a massive difference and way more than '9'

Finally I would add that our last league Title was in 1936 and yours was in 1927, Our last FA Cup was in 1973 and yours was in 1955, Our Charity Shield was in 1936 and yours was in 1909. Add to that since your one and only league cup final appearance in 1976, we have been to that final in 1985 and 2014. Its actually most of your honours that go further back than ours, so dissing a league title becasue there were fewer teams in the league is a tad ironic.

If you are going to post about history, how about you do your research first?

I see mags are out from under their rocks after a lucky draw and a win, I seen a family of 4 all with their mag tops on in Boldon ASDA today.

I love how that mail article says As far as Ashley is concerned the club is sold and he's waiting for the outcome of the arbitration court that hasn't even started yet. He's basically using the mugs for another year of holding onto the club without getting any grief for it.

He really is a clever bloke like and plays them a belter. Ha ha

Who signed Muto for £9.5 million😎
Absolutely no issue with Muto, was a poor signing all round, and I've never said Benitez got EVERY deal right. He just got the majority of his big ones right, but please, let's not get back onto that now ha.
Or Murphy for £12m😎
You mean Murphy who scored the equaliser at the weekend and has actually turned out alright? ;)

This makes absolutely no sense.

Fans have already said they're not coming back while he's in charge, the notion the club MIGHT be sold stopped being relevant last Christmas. If it's still in his hands fans aren't going back.

FFS, I've tried hard for years.

Murphy is a fan and a lovely bloke but let's not rewrite history. He's been shite for most of his time here, he's never justified the fee we paid for him and probably never will and when his times up here we won't get anywhere near it back. Not the lads fault, he's just not good enough to be a week in week out Prem player.

No rewriting here, was shite under Rafa, anonymous last season, but he's got two goals and two assists this season - helped us to wins against West Brom and Burnley. In a total turd of a season he's been useful if not spectacular.

This is basically how I see it.

No evidence at all that the grifter Staveley has managed to get her consortium back to the table, after they publicly said they were walking away due to a lack of commercial viability caused by coronavirus. Has that situation changed?

Ashley has got the fuckwitted Geordie nation breathlessly cheering on his arbitration, when it probably doesn't amount to much more than a claim for compensation that would go straight into his pocket if successful.

Of course it is, because why would you say anything else? There's a massive sense of embarrassment for the Saudi's here, they're not used to hearing no, especially with a trade partner like the UK. We'd sell them weapons but not a football club? To be clear - I am totally against this deal, always have been, but I'm not ignorant to all aspects of it.

Them saying 'commercially viable' makes it seem like they chose to sack it off rather than being denied the opportunity.

America, you silly sod.
Washington, is Tyne & Wear, ya silly sod.

3 goals in 53 apps and you reckon Murphy as turned out alright.😂😂

Still amazes me how Sunderland fans criticise Newcastle fans when they say Benitez is a better manager than Mclaren and Bruce but at the same time say Lee Johnson has done a far better job than Phil Parkinson, despite daft meaningless stats showing otherwise , it’s almost as if fans can see the bigger picture in a way.

So it emerges the murderous sheikh lobbied the PM to push the takeover through 😂 That should help the arbitration arrive at the conclusion Bin Salman has nowt to do with PIF, and the PL have misapplied their owners and directors test then 🧐 Or not maybe....

We were 8th when johnson took charge, we are now 3rd. How is that not an improvement?

Not one person on this board thinks Bruce or McLaren is a better manager than Benitez.
