Possibly! But if you are saying that the players who have been tried are not good enough would you give the best academy batsmen a go and bat him at 6? it's definitely the strongest batting line up Durham have had for a few seasons.
Just think it's easy to say none are good enough without giving a possible solution.
Cameron Steel is still in Australia as far as I know playing Grade cricket in Perth.
Must be better for him to get match cricket on grass rather than being indoors here. Should be over here soon.

clark has had a season or two worth of very good white ball performances so may stick as a specialist. steel does seem to have just fell off after having one really good season. poynter has never looked decent imo but is a wicket keeper so as a result sticks around as a sub for eckers.
far more to prove for burnham who hasn't shown anywhere near as much as any of those three all of whom are worthless according to some so it's a big season for a few like

Could be that Durham weren't publicising the game for fear of unwelcome spectatators. Ridiculous reason for postponement, there'll be hundreds walking along the riverbank adjacent to the ground regardless.Cheers mate
