I’m shocked that in the decade since he managed us, Bruce appears to have learned absolutely nothing.

Speaking to Mags I know I’ve heard the following as running themes

‘Without Wilson we’re fucked’ - Same as Bent with us?

‘It’s like all we’ve got is the long diagonal ball to the winger’ - every goal kick was aimed at Elmo’s head, in their case it’s Joelinton or Ritchie

‘The midfield and back 4 are far too deep’ - We had the same concerns at the time only Sess’ running got us up the pitch, see Almiron in their case.

‘When chasing the game all he does is chuck all his strikers on and hope one of them does something’ - yep seen this too

Long winless runs, friends in the media trying to absolve him. That’s for shua, we’ll dust wor selves down and try again....

Bang on here. Those last few months with us was literally just “ping it to Elmo’s head and hope for the best”. Shocking even with the experience he had then.

In terms of performance in the domestic league, yes. Because they've won more games, got more points.
I'm quite surprised anybody could argue that 85 points is better than 100 points.

Well it's quite simple

You are basically stating achieving 105 points in the championship is better than 85 points in the premier League because you know they got more points.

You are basically dismissing that who you faced in a league campaign is irrelevant

Not comparing different divisions.
But 85 in 38 games is not better than 100 in 38 games.
