Average house price of where you live

What's the rebuild cost of his £900K house? Less than £200K I would reckon. The rest is land.

The only way to really make money out of houses is to own more than one. Happily from next month me and my girlfriend with be in that position.
Completely incorrect. Land and build is the best and easiest way to profit from property.

I used to live in Farnham just down the A3 from Cobham - so I don't have to!
I lived in Upper Froyle just down the road from there...Farnham is such a split place...Its still in Surrey but very close to Aldershot (which is a shithole) I can't think of any other place in Surrey, that has both a Lidl and a Waitrose a few hundred yards from each other. People used to shop in Lidl and put there shopping in a Waitrose bag for life. It really sums the place up!

Is there a Lidl there? Aldershot is awful. Never realised they were that close! Frensham ponds and Bourne woods are lovely though.

The areas around are really nice. Serious problems with the social housing in Farnham when I was down there. Waitrose took over the Safeway (must have seen the potential market at the time) Lidl was there before them.

That's so strange as the town seems so nice. When were you there mate?

I moved to surrey in 2002...moved to east Hampshire about a year or so later...lived there for a few years before coming to sunderland. Theres a sainsburys in farnham where they go in with gold credit cards and fill their Range Rovers with wine etc.... But you also have the pissed up twats who buy a slab of lager in Lidls after having a fight in the nearby pub. Mixed place.

I could throw a tennis ball from the local m&s into the front door of Iceland.

My sis worked as a PA to an old lady in Cobham a number of years ago, she called the Gardner, cleaner, even my sister till my sis pulled her up on it her "Servants" her family name is browne, she always gave her name as "Mrs Browne....... With an E" to elevate herself from the lesser browns 🤣
My surname is Bucket, pronounced Bouquet.

A strange place to play tennis.

I got pally with the lettings agent and he said much the same plus there was a huge overspill estate from the old GLC to the west somewhere - I didn't see it, Farnham was pretty sleepy.

There was a bit of aggro between the sons of some of the Gurkha soldier families and the locals, no decent jobs for them etc.
There was a great Gurkha restaurant in Fleet though.

Housing market here in the USA is turning into a blood sport. My house here in NJ that I could have sold last year for $500k (with some persuasion) will hit the market next month for $650k and I'll likely have to fight off multiple bidders. One of my colleagues has a client who offered $400k above asking for a house in a trendy suburb here in NJ and took out the appraisal and home inspection requirements to purchase.

Burbs have gone mad

Not showing off as I actually think it's vile how much it is but my postcode currently has an average house price of £1.2m. Interested to hear what others are and how much more you can get for your money.
Yeah that’s fine but the houses are shite
