Redditors gave Wall Street traders an absolute pasting

As I say I'm happy to see how it progresses, doubled my money so far and I like what I'm reading.
If it looks like going tits up I'll sell possibly but I am thinking more long term ideally.
Everyone is allowed an opinion.
What if that opinion causes some bloke to put his families savings in, and tell everyone else in his wider family to put their savings in.

There could be suicides and god knows what else as a result of this.

There was an example in the US of a lad killing himself because RobinHood mistakenly told him he owed $700k

You be you, but do consider that there's a reason it's called a "short squeeze"

Even this thread title, could cause someone to get excited, sign up for an account, and stick a grand that they can’t afford to lose in.

In hard times people gamble more, shops sell more lottery tickets, it’s a cruel fact of life, I’ve seen gambling ruin people. This is the same as that.

I haven't told anyone to put any money in.
Can't believe the over reaction because I replied to someone saying I'm gonna see how it runs longer, no more no less.

I'm not on about any squeeze though as I said earlier, I'm looking at the company and how longer term it may become a better business, it may be undervalued.
It may not mind, I'm not a trader or an expert, only been messing about with shares since early January and I certainly can't afford to lose loads.
I shall indeed be me, thank you very much.

Nah you haven’t, no one has, but everyone’s getting all excited and adding to it in their own special way, no one thinks they’re doing anything wrong, this is all very new to a lot of people.

Are they though, most of my mates aren't interested at all really, nobody has even mentioned it and I must have 60 people in 3 whatsapp groups and I'm certainly not pushing it to them.
I mean I only watch chan 4 news but I haven't heard it mentioned on there all week or much of last week.
Some people will always want to get rich quick, some will gamble, scratch cards etc and I just hope nobody spends more than they can afford.
I'm not wealthy I just thought I'd put a few spare quid in shares rather than get 0.5% a year from the banks who already fucked us over once.
Only 25% down now on my initial bet

holding for now.
I think it will be there at some point but only my opinion.
I was 50% down at one point but didn't want to sell even though I dumped others that were down.

When it hit $40 dollars I though I’ve wasted my money but it’s pleasing to see it jumping again. Hopefully I can break even soon.

Yeah me too as I had an average of about 80 but I read a bit more and thought nah I'm just gonna leave it even if its takes 6 months.
Same with Aston martin, got a a little in there and hardly moved but they are a 5th of the value of 12 months ago or something and seem to be turning the business around.
I'm not saying buy any by the way as they could go the other way
Gme 270-280 in the pre market. What price everyone holding out for?
Be tempting to sell when you look at the profit but unless there is a huge crash I'm just gonna keep mine I think.

If you aren't on a wind up I would strongly advise you go and do a bit of research mate, the spike isn't anything to do with a new business model or improved performance. This isn't something that's going to be worth $500 a share in a decade, if it exists it probably won't be worth $50.

Unfortunately brick and mortar game shops aren't looking good long term, its going to be a niche industry, it won't sustain massive chains like gamestop. I say unfortunately because I love going into these shops, having a browse, and impulse buying some shit I would never have tried if I'd thought about it.

I sold my AM stock to bring my AMC average down and will be buying back when I sell.

I've never said the spike is just to do with the new business model.
I've said I haven't just jumped in for a squeeze.
As I say we all have our own opinions and who knows I may sell at some point.
I held my AMC too think my average is about 9 from memory.

When seeking investment advice I spin a wheel to select which forum to use, then I collate all the stocks talked about on that forum and assign each of them a number, after that I use a random number generator to pick a trade...
