India v England series

Yes, 2 years either side of having the same deficiencies in his technique, which he’s been reluctant to address.

You can’t keep selecting him based on his white ball form or those magical ‘two years’

Why are you focusing on him? He flew out for the last 2 test matches that’s it

Focus on the lads in red ball contracts who have been awful

He’s always the fall guy even though he’s not in our full squad XI

No that’s not right. For a period of almost two years he was averaging over 40 as keeper batsman at 7, you don’t do that with a technical flaw or the wrong attitude. He was genuinely a world class player there

I agree but i'm not really one for feeling sorry for players, particularly the more experienced ones. Irrespective of positional changes I don't believe hes the player now that he was then. Every time he goes to the crease for any batsman is a new opportunity and he just continues to fail Decent career but its one that should be at an end at test match level.

Well after that I think we need more cricketers who have been to Eton, Harrow, Oxford or Cambridge. Up school! More selections like A C Smith - picked for the Aussie tour in 62 because he could play the piano. That is more like it.

The top order clearly have never been exposed to good spin on turning pitches before. Understandable given they’re young and the majority of cricket they’ve played is on a swinging or flat track.

What’s important is how we address it going forward. We need to do some serious spin training. However this will be our last taste of cricket in the sub continent for a while. White ball stuff, a home series against India and then the Ashes.

I wonder for it being a one off test, if the final will be available for free? I think it’s also scheduled for 5 days to guarantee a result barring weather

India deserved the series win, but from the players to the supporters and commentators, they are the most insufferable bunch of arseholes. Scousers of the cricket world. Not bitter or anything 😂

Aye it’s been mad like, I’ve struggled to watch a lot of the last few tests just for my own sanity. It’s just all PR from start to finish

Kind of glad the tour got cancelled for tourists, feel like I’d have been dragged away by the police screaming about pitches and third umpires

Just have to hope we beat them in the summer. Imagine if they won that as well

That’s a shocking result all things considered. Pitiful from England.
Don't even blame the rotation policy as they sacrificed the test series for the hit and giggle stuff, not suggesting that they would have definitely won with their best team out every game either but they cut their own nose off to spite their face. The 3rd test pitch destroyed England's confidence in playing just 6 batsmen. all-in-all a bit of a cock-up really.
