October 2020 - Getting worse across Europe.

We are predominantly staying UK this year. Priority is to get me arse up North as soon as I can to see family. Got time on the Isle of Wight booked in May, but also looking at South Devon and North Norfolk for other breaks. We do have flights booked for Rome in September so will have to play a waiting game on how Italy is at the time. The Mrs is not so keen on going overseas this year whereas i'm not too bothered about it at all. Might change the Italy flights to Portugal if Italy is a no go. Can go and stay with friends out in Portugal and no it isn't @bomber

Haway the travel corridors.

I reckon Rishi might prefer you, me and everyone else to stay in Blighty.

I'm happy popping up Northumberland coast and a couple of festivals but have hotel in New York reserved for mid September. Will just cancel at no cost if it looks dodgy.

To be fair Harry if the missus is dead against going overseas then we will push the flights back again. She feels more comfortable going out to stay with friends than heading to a big city if we do head out there.

You know what mate, we love Rome. Its a cracking city to visit. That and Venice too.
Totally agree.
Having said that we have already booked a TUI "booze" cruise round the Geek Islands in June 2022. Roped me brother and sister in law into coming too - carnage awaits. Hopefully we have got this shit all under control by then and the cruise industry will be back up and running safely by then.

I'll be doing a trip up north and probably extend it a few days to do more day trips and maybe have a night or two away from my brothers but use his as a base. Also looking at a festival late july and then if possibly an escape to Greece beginning of September

Indeed.. sooner the better for everyone.. I think they will but I think on this wave they seem to be about 3-4 weeks behind the UK on the curve
Its funny how this has all progressed, when it all kicked off we were on a curve of a few weeks behind the likes of them and now that curve has reversed. When this whole sorry tale is over/under control there will be interesting stats to come out out of it - or not perhaps unless you are a bit of a bores head for things like that.

Germany, Belgium and France

Germany will soon authorise the AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccine for people over the age of 65, Chancellor Angela Merkel said Wednesday, the same day Belgium authorised its rollout to seniors.

The French government says older people with pre-existing conditions can now get AstraZeneca's Covid-19 vaccine, revising its stance on the issue.

What happend to the serious side effects?
