The answer to your question is Steve Bruce he is one of the worst managers ever, certainly his record in the Premier League is. If they got rid of him, brought in someone else and spent the money off those players they would have a better chance of going straight back up yes I agree with that. I just don't think it will happen.
I didnt ask a question ...and i was referring to his record in the championship....as regards his premiership one...@TheFish reckons last season wasnt good enough but aside from the opening 10 games when he was new to the job he never looked in any danger of taking you down ( unlike this season )

Who would have a better chance of taking you back up than Bruce ?

good story on harsh realities of young academy hopefulls on bbc today.
Saw that earlier. To get dropped like that must be devastating and if his account is the whole picture, it's pretty damning of NUFC's academy. Don't think enough is done for young lads to prepare them for life if they don't make the grade.

I'd be curious as to how much broader education is given to these kids, away from the training ground?

He's just not up to it any more. Look at us this season (and last), we've been awful on the whole.

The only thing I'm hopeful for is that Ashley is actually wanting to sell. As long as it's not 'The Don' I'll be happy enough.

How's that? Sheikh Mansour is the defacto leader of the UAE and the owner of the company that owns Man City, right?
UAE is a formed from a of , consisting of (which serves as the capital), , , , , and .

Not sure he would for Wilson, injury prone and would be his second relegation in a row, would get a fair bit for Saint-Maximin.
Wilson would still return a tidy profit though....they got him for nowt iirc
Yep, it might be their only highlight next season. As much as I want them to go down and us to go up, I'm not ready for a Derby unless our squad looks very different to what it does now.
....Which it will massively...Kyril isnt here to mess about...that is obvious

Its always been tough on kids signing for big clubs.....probably 90% + get dumped at first hurdle and will be told this at the start, quite a few will end up in lower/non league and make a living out of it. Mental health issues is banded about to much at the moment every bugger is doing it.....slightest wobble and mental health comes into play, back in the day you were fed up/pissed off/down in the dumps etc etc but dusted yourself down and got on with it

Dubai's sportswashing worked on Man City because they've delivered on their promises, and exceeded them in some regard. The Saudis will sharp be forgotten if they don't end up as owners. Just because Steve Wraith is so hungry for attention he'd pipe off Trump on youtube, doesn't mean the fanbase as whole is blind to the horrors of the Saudi regime.

You're conflating fans wanting to be successful with fans thinking the Saudis are great. You're also guilty of being utterly blinded by your contempt for Newcastle fans, to the point there's fuck all point in continuing this chat.
Wasn't there a vote at some fans meeting and 93% wanted the Saudis?

I totally disagree. I think the vast majority of your fanbase has been sportswashed. And they're not even going to buy you now. Job done at a snip

Rafa... but they won't care if he doesn't. Be all Ashley's fault. Ya know like when he relegated them

A typical mag view:

If we win shit cup, Mickey Mouse etc. Pointless waste of time

If we lose the will be ripping into us that we’ve missed out and Wembley trophy, Wembley win etc
You wouldn't have it any other way.....and would expect the same if we were there in fa/league cup final

i remember one of the foreman at work going on and on about he couldn't give a fuck about sunderland, barely cares about newcastle these days etc. etc. etc... then let it slip that when he was on holiday in spain they all gathered to watch our play off final against charlton (2019) and when charlton scored the winner the whole pub went up, they were jumping all over, tables and drink went flying, then they had a hell of a night celebrating to the early hours.

sad bastards man, just admit that you love to see your rivals lose, whether its in the champions league final, papa johns final, or amatuer sunday league tiddlywinks

I'm talking about the football. We were awful. Didn't make or take chances, didn't control the ball, didn't defend well. We were bad.

Haven't you the common sense to read the context behind that vote. How many voted? How was the vote put out there? How many of those would have voted in favour of anybody but Ashley? My educated guess is around 93%. You're mental if you honestly think 93% of all Newcastle fans are suddenly fully behind the Saudi regime.

If the Saudis didn't want to own us they wouldn't have begun the conversation, let alone get to the O&D stage. Look at all the other parties who've declared an interest to garner attention (BNG e.g.) then fucked off as soon as they've got it.
sorry marra but the Kingdon isn't very United either and neither is noocarrsel tbh
We haven't been 'united' in f***ing ages man. Honestly the drama on NUFC twitter is proof that this lockdown is sending people loopy.
