Is he? Couldn't get promoted with the most expensively assembled Championship side and was roundly criticised for the football.

Plus, when the fans get back in I'm sure they'll be wholly supportive of a manager who's never managed to get them on side. If we go down under Bruce we won't come back up under Bruce.

Season 2015/2016 He got Hull promoted at first attempt after taking them down the season before ....then resigned
Joined Villa in October 2016 when they were languishing and took them to the play off final which admittedly they did lose to Fulham who were a good side ie 1 game from being promoted
Next season Villa started poorly but there was turmoil in the club....he got sacked in October .....way too early given what happened afterwards.
Thats a decent record imo

No he isn't. He's won two promotions in 22 years. :D
If/when they go down, staying up will be more of a concern for them especially when they sell their best players.
They have bounced back twice before under the same circumstances....no reason they shouldnt again given they will get decent fees for Miggy, St Max, Darlow, Wilson etc

They'll go down without maximum.

Reminds me a lot of sessegnon. Makes things happen and scares defenders.

I'm not sure about 'le poulet sans tête'

He can be inconsistent and that's a trait he shares with Sess but he also doesn't pass often enough.

Also, none of his team mates know what he's going to do next (presumably cos he doesn't either) so maybe a run in the team would sort out some of the issues

He's a crowd pleaser and that's always a positive but that only works when there's a crowd.

I wouldn’t be, they would thrash us with our current side

if we get promoted and they come down both sides are likely to be completely different come day of the game
Would hardly be a surprise, team with confidence against one bereft of confidence. If we go up and they go down, both 50/50 chanceish I would say, who knows how the line ups would look. I can’t see Ashley bankrolling another promotion though

He would get plenty of money from sale of St Max and Wilson alone

The answer to your question is Steve Bruce he is one of the worst managers ever, certainly his record in the Premier League is. If they got rid of him, brought in someone else and spent the money off those players they would have a better chance of going straight back up yes I agree with that. I just don't think it will happen.

Not sure he would for Wilson, injury prone and would be his second relegation in a row, would get a fair bit for Saint-Maximin.

I thought with a username like Sandboy you would be able to identify individual Arab gentlemen. :)
I can, that's why I corrected our monochrome friend... to be fair to him though they always used to tell me they were all one big happy family until you bloody British came along and started drawing lines in the sand

Dubai's sportswashing worked on Man City because they've delivered on their promises, and exceeded them in some regard. The Saudis will sharp be forgotten if they don't end up as owners. Just because Steve Wraith is so hungry for attention he'd pipe off Trump on youtube, doesn't mean the fanbase as whole is blind to the horrors of the Saudi regime.

You're conflating fans wanting to be successful with fans thinking the Saudis are great. You're also guilty of being utterly blinded by your contempt for Newcastle fans, to the point there's fuck all point in continuing this chat.
Don't give up man....there's still hope 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not too sure Kenna. Teams coming up have usually been on a winning streak and teams coming down have forgotton how to win. Don't know the stats on this, but I do notice how often the team from the lower league beats the higher league team early in the season. Wouldn't want to play them after they get their mojo back though, the dirty bassas.

He's just not up to it any more. Look at us this season (and last), we've been awful on the whole.

The only thing I'm hopeful for is that Ashley is actually wanting to sell. As long as it's not 'The Don' I'll be happy enough.
Still wrong!
How's that? Sheikh Mansour is the defacto leader of the UAE and the owner of the company that owns Man City, right?

Yep, it might be their only highlight next season. As much as I want them to go down and us to go up, I'm not ready for a Derby unless our squad looks very different to what it does now.

very much Abu Dhabi though, the UAE are far from united in reality
