Don't think the Shieks are massive fans of homosexuality.

Punishment if caught is execution but you might get away with flogging if its a first offence.

Great bunch of lads though and they would have done so much for the region........................
Wraith was going to change them and explain that they even had a gang called the Benders !!

I was told on Twitter on Saturday that because I'm a Sunderland fan I knowingly supported a nonce
What went on with Johnson is unforgivable, but they seem to have a long running problem with this going back years, but because Johnson was at the forefront of the club we copped more negative exposure. Like I've said, they seem to have an endemic problem with employing unsavoury characters and not being savvy or willing enough to root them out. It's a persistent dereliction of duty on their part. Their fans, for the most part, aren't clever enough to take a step back and see all this, though.

Can this horror be dropped on Ashley's lap?

What insurance is for but they are trying to not claim responsibility.

So tax case and possible abuse claims coming via insurance.

Can't see anyone considering taking over that club till all that is resolved tbh.

Can anyone really see the mags losing at both wba and Brighton ? Sadly, not gonna happen.
Very easy to see given their injury list , on top of current players out this is the fall out from saturday "Callum Wilson out another 6 weeks. Almiron May be done for season. Saint maximin hamstring out for several weeks."

They also still have the HMRC case still hanging over them
They dodged a bullet with their failed takeover and
Mohammed bin Salman, sorry, they wanted that bullet.

Regarding the paedophile cases, I don't think it is is anything to try 'point scoring', on.Young lives have been blighted in ways they carry all of their lives. Both Sunderland and Newcastle, along with too many other clubs and institutions have neglected those in their care and ignored the behaviour or excused the behaviour of their employees. It is all vile and disgraceful. One case is atrocious, there is no mileage in trying to claim some moral high ground in this instance, it is something we should be able to unite on. There are some of our fans who think it would be ok for Johnson to return, that is the low level things are at.

Who are the other “unsavoury” ones ....is Beardsley one of them ?

Newcastle United are facing several civil claims regarding the behaviour of former employee George Ormond, who in 2018 received a 20-year jail sentence for multiple cases of sexual abuse.

Ormond coached a grassroots football club in the 1970s and 1980s before working with Newcastle's youth teams in the 1990s.
Newcastle Crown Court heard how he used his "position of power" to abuse 18 boys and young men between 1973 and 1998, and was convicted on 36 charges.

Newcastle have declined to comment, but their insurers are denying responsibility.
We shouldn’t point score and end up going to their pathetic level however the way they have gone on about Johnson has backfired immensely.
