Newcastle United are facing several civil claims regarding the behaviour of former employee George Ormond, who in 2018 received a 20-year jail sentence for multiple cases of sexual abuse.

Ormond coached a grassroots football club in the 1970s and 1980s before working with Newcastle's youth teams in the 1990s.
Newcastle Crown Court heard how he used his "position of power" to abuse 18 boys and young men between 1973 and 1998, and was convicted on 36 charges.

Newcastle have declined to comment, but their insurers are denying responsibility.

lets not make any silly comments that they can use as ammunition
But but but Adam Johnson

too late 🤣

Usually a pretty good guide as to who will eventually drop. With Fulham still to play the mags it’s getting very interesting.
I agree. The three teams with the worst goal difference very often end up being in the bottom 3 positions. When the lose they tend to lose heavily, rather than the draws and narrow defeats suffered by Burnley, Brighton and Fulham.

While Newcastle have marginally improved of late, they’ve flukes some points this season, Everton twice and Spurs to name two

What does this mean for the takeover.
This must mean the sheikover is about as off now as it was 4 months ago!

still can’t believe the Ronny gill are still trotting out daily updates on that munter and the Saudi Prince or whoever he was.

Seems a hive for that kind of behaviour in seriousness, endemic almost. Where is the duty of care they have towards their younger players?

And the mags had the temerity to take the moral high ground over AJ.
I trust the vitriol thrown at us will now be a thing of the past ?

Exactly

no way did nobody at all have any idea this was going on , the players abused should get compensation , from the club
How many different abusers have been unearthed from there now? From Beardsley's bullying all the way down to this kind of hideous behaviour, there's been at least three or four reports out of that club now, haven't they? Not a chance I'd let my kids (if I had any) near that club, like.
