I can see it happen. Fulham to gain 5 points more than Newcastle from here til the last game and they have a game in hand. Wilson is a one man army for Newcastle and he is out for as much as half of the remaining fixtures.

Cant be overstated how much of a blow that is. Almiron and ASM are made out to be class. Every time i watch them theyre alright with the ball at their feet and pretty direct but their final ball is shocking. No end product.

Watched them last night, I don’t usually bother but jeez, Chelsea’s should have been 5 up at half time.
That maximum fella like to run but doesn’t like passing the ball does he.
Shelvey still likes a 70 yard wonder ball to nowhere.
For the money spent they are very poor like

Fulham have 18pts from 23 games. Defeating a below strength Everton was their first win since November. They're more likely to lose/draw the next 2 games than they are to win them. Burnley and Sheffield have both won 3 from the last 6.

To get to 35 they'd need 17pts from 15 games. 5-6 wins for a team that's only won 3 times in the league so far. For Newcastle to get to 35 we'd need 10pts from 14. 3 wins for a team that's already got 7.

I'm not stressing.
When Newcastle win it's a great performance but when Fulham win it's a below strength Everton...only main difference was DCL missing. Fulham battered them in the first half.

Hes a quality player in fairness ASM like. They're much better when he plays put it that way

I had a £5 West Ham/Chelsea double on last night. I cashed out after about half an hour because the cash out value was only about 20p less than waiting to full time. I think that must reflect Chelsea’s dominance.

I didn't say it 'was a great performance'. Everton were poor against us and we played well. They were poor against Fulham and Fulham played well.

Fulham faced an Everton team without Mina, Keane, DCL, Iwobi and Pickford (dunno if the last 2 are a detriment or not). So that's their first choice CB pair, top goal scorer, Iwobi and Pickford. In addition several (6) of the Everton team had played a grueling Cup game 4 days prior.

I don’t think Newcastle will go down, but .... if Fulham can beat either Burnley or Sheff Utd, and the mags lose at Man U, then it’s a 4 point gap with 13 games for both left. So Fulham would only need to pick up one more point than Newcastle over the following 12 to set up a final day all or nothing decider!

Mentioned this in the other thread but if you looked the Newcastle fixtures (mixture of six matches against the foot of the table and games against teams that will be mid table and on the beach), it looks more like a 40 point season than 30. It might not be Fulham in 18th but it doesn't look like it will be Newcastle either.
