The Mags need to hope Wolfs go easy and let them off The hook. Then maybe they get the better of Allardyce. If they lose both games they're fcked.

Seriously don't see any of the bottom 4 getting 38 points. If we do I reckon we will be safe by a comfortable margin.

Burnley at home tonight and best price 19/10. Very attractive price. No way should Fulham be favourites.

Yep 35 is comfortably up this season. I meant 32 is unambitious for newcastke give the remaining fixtures. Just looking at the fixtures (and the timing meaning Newcastle will be playing plenty of sides with nothing to play for), I expect closer to 40 the 30. But yeah, it hasn't happened yet. Time will tell.

Nah, their wins v Everton and Soton show they'll not go down IMO.

They'll just have enough unfortunately.

Yeah, I think that too unless Wilsons hammy continues to play up, and an explosive player like him is susceptible to them. ASM too - if he misses a few games, theyve got nowt.
Their home game v Wolves is vital to them. They lose that one, and they are truly in the shit.

Fulham have 18pts from 23 games. Defeating a below strength Everton was their first win since November. They're more likely to lose/draw the next 2 games than they are to win them. Burnley and Sheffield have both won 3 from the last 6.

To get to 35 they'd need 17pts from 15 games. 5-6 wins for a team that's only won 3 times in the league so far. For Newcastle to get to 35 we'd need 10pts from 14. 3 wins for a team that's already got 7.

I'm not stressing.

Fair point, but as average as they are Almiron and Saint-Maximan (??) will get them enough goals I think.

4/11 to stay up, that is a hell of a price

I think they're absolutely bang average from front to back other than Wilson.

I think it comes down to Maja at fulham. How many goals he can get between now and the end of the season. Fulham may already be too far behind, but I'm not writing them off

The Everton game, fair enough, they played well. But they got battered against Soton for 45 mins and somehow hung on.

Newcastle are safe this year, just.

But with another summer with Bruce in charge I have high hopes next year will see Newcastle having a season to remember for all the wrong reasons.

Set of four games later this season.
24 April Liverpool .away
01 May. Arsenal. home
08 May. Leicester away
12 May . Man City home.

they'll sneak a win against arsenal or leicester. they'll lose all their other games other than the odd jammy win, and all the teams below will continue to win loads of games, but somehow not catch them

I’d love it if it was a case of “winner stays up” on the last game of the season, especially if Maja scored the winner.

I don’t think it will happen, but it’s possible.

7 points behind with a better goal difference. It’s definitely possible but I’m not holding my breath.

I think this time next week Fulham will be 4 points off or even closer to them just looking at the fixtures there.

I think the mags should be worried
