Redditors gave Wall Street traders an absolute pasting

Ask MT to check his algorithms first, there might be some warning signs and I've heard he's relatively helpful

I'll ask this one last time. What algorithm (before I mentioned any) do you think I watch for 90% of the time I spend at work?

It's ok to say "you know what I don't really understand and I'm happy for you to help me understand"

And ill help. Because I'm nice. And there's not some shadowy hand that watches the market. There exists a bid and am offer

I didn't claim to know exactly what it is you're monitoring and if you go back you will see that, you've latched onto that to try make a point (that I don't work at an investment bank, never said I did) despite admitting that you're monitoring algorithms - if you read you'd see I got that idea from someone else and will continue to think so. A different approach would have been something like "not 90% of the time but I am monitoring algorithms". You wanted to be a bell so I responded in kind, that's all. I think we've bored people enough with it. Don't you?

Anyway back to the topic... it would appear there are still some big boys with us at the top @PTR

Ok let's do this again. I don't monitor algorithms. I have algorithms in my toolbox to execute orders. I don't have anything on my desk that shows me client flows other than what I trade against. The one thing I do look at is how much trades on the bid v the offer. That's publically available information.

Your assertion was that I have some sort of algorithm that gives me an edge and that i spend 90% (10-11h) per day watching this unicorn thing. Which is wrong.

You have a tool box? I thought you were a yuppy.

No it wasn't...
Yup keep it in the boot of my white porsche. Next to the giant mobile phone.

This is what you said.

I know what I said, where in that does it say "algorithm that gives me an edge"?
