Need Root on strike to keep the runs flowing. Yes Sibley is grafting but his scoring rate here leaves a lot to be desired.

Sure you won't agree @The Rat but I expect more than 65 off 229 balls from an opening batsmen but there we are. He's digging deep, and asong as he can nick singles and keep Root on strike for the time being then we'll be fine.

This is how I want him to bat

Wear down the bowlers

He needs to stick to it and not give them a wicket

When Sibley has faced over 300 deliveries and scored 100, we've won the game.

We have been crying out for an opener to do what he's doing.

Butchers explanation of the world test championship, sums up the mockery of how it’s designed and who plays the final.

Totally confused himself

why not have the top four in the rankings, play semi finals and then a final?

New Zealand are currently top of the Test rankings. Does anyone believe that?

I can remember a test v pakistan where David Shepherd missed 4 no balls which all took wickets and England lost the test

was at Old Trafford
Aye I think they've showed that before on sky on Comms cos I recall a lot of the team were involved in the game.

They are pacing this perfectly on a first day in India. New ball not long away, if they can play that out, this is a big day for England

You really can’t say till the end of the day

This is cricket on sub continent

Can change in 10 mins
