i think there is an underlying feeling that the tories/establishment are secretly enjoying the break down of society for normal people. basically us just being good little worker ants, making money for the man then scurrying off home to hide until we are needed to work again is how life us currently, and that the goalposts will be moved again when deaths and hospital admissions are reduced, to keep a strangle hold on people

They seem confident these vaccines work with the newer strains and tougher border measures are being introduced so there should be no reason for us to not be in the position that New Zealand and Australia are in now.

I've already seen fuckwits on twitter suggesting that they're fiddling the death figures currently and labeling everything as covid and that'll continue so even though the vaccine rollout ramps up the deaths won't drop and restrictions won't ease.

We are ahead of the game with vaccines and we are an island we need to use those to our advantage and get back to normal ASAP

In week after 2nd Pfizer vaccine shot, only 20 of 128,000 Israelis get COVID and none of the 20 were hospitalised.

We'll find out soon enough. I'm not thinking about timescale anymore. It's all about figures. Let's see where we are when we get to sub 100 / sub 50 deaths a day. If at that point we are still living in these conditions then it's time to start asking 'why'.

This 100 percent. That’s why they are fiddling the death rates with any death within 60 days of a positive test goes down as covid

Keep up other variations out. They said last week that foreign travel might have to be a sacrifice to get normal life back here. No complaints here despite loving getting away.

Nee good if vaccines arent effective against a new strain. We would soon be back to square one. That's basically a quote from Hancock last week.

Was looking at group 6 to be vaccinated hopefully soon, some serious underlying issues are in that group and I thought they would be higher up the list, I've replied to tou by mistake mate but have no choice but to press send.

I think they are waiting for the JVCI to advise on the next priorities, lots of front line workers are asking to be pushed up the queue

The first 9 groups, basically over 50s and those with underlying conditions are scheduled to be completed by April. Can’t see that changing as JCVI have rejected teachers case effectively saying that they are trying to queue jump. If that is to change it will be a political decision not a scientific one.

Group 6 is essential I would of thought, 8 million odd.
