Saint Maximum (sic.) was becoming out of favour anyway. His attitude was wrong and he was out of form after signing his new contract. Shearer (Bruce's mate) said he had been off since the new deal. Not something other Newcastle watchers picked up on, so I think that line from Shearer was via Bruce. He was subbed off vs Everton, poor against Southampton, subbed against Chelsea. Got loads of criticism in the defeats against Chelsea and Southampton.

Honestly think a lot of ASM's dip in form (and Wilson) is because we're set up so passive and deep that he's not getting on the ball as much as he should, or in the right areas. Whenever he does get the ball he's facing off against a few defenders because there's nobody close enough to him to help him out.

And he's nowhere near as good as you lot thought he was. Standard 2nd season syndrome. 'All fart and nee shite' I believe is the approved term

3. Yeah I'm aware of how the fans feel, i understand it, i am one myself but howpefully they can see the positives and take encouragement from the second half against Leeds who are always a threat when you get high up the pitch
4. We are trying to change things in regards to how we play and slowly we are getting there, now we've got 1 or 2 players fit and available again
5. No i won't walk away, is my job safe? I'm not the man to ask, I'll keep working hard, trying my best, and hopefully that's good enough.
6. It's hard when you're on a difficult run but we'll do our best
7. Graham Jones is coming in to hopefully help give us a fresh perspective on things and hopefully improve the team, we've had a difficult year so it'll hopefully be a positive addition

To be so worshipped for such mediocrity is plain weird.
They talk about him how you would expect Liverpool to speak about Klopp.
Reality of his job failed to keep them up promoted with most expensive championship squad in history Pragmatically kept average set of players in league setting up defensively while earning a staggering 6 million a year.
It is no different to Pardew (5th place finish) Bruce, Hughton amazing the lengths they go to to justify the hype
