Sabre, truth be told, you need to get rid of bruce before long the bloke has a shelf life, but don't just take our word for it, look back at his previous clubs also.

Trust me mate, you’re preaching to the converted. You know the best part of the night was reading this board an pissing myself laughing at you lot enjoying it so much. I’m not even lying. How sad is that? I find myself looking for reason to not watch the match and that has to be the greatest crime really? We are rivals and what have you, but I do feel f***ing low at the moment as a Newcastle fan like have to admit.

The reason we enjoy it so. is, because for years he has cast us as the villain of the piece between ourselves and him, he always quotes 10th and highest finish etc, which is a lie, because our highest finish of the 21st century so far was when we finished 7th as you know, as for what's next he will make excuse after excuse and his mates in the media which are many will back him up all the way, as for what's next also remember he's relegated quite a few clubs he's been manager of, if you leave him in the job to long the reason he hates us is simple we saw him for what he was and sacked him, one of the only clubs that has ever done it, the majority of the time he has resigned and walked, would you say you are concerned for the future and another stint in the championship ?

Of course I am Cisse. And if we go down again we simply don’t have the players and I would very much doubt the money to go back up again. Even Neville tonight implied we don’t like him because he managed you. It’s Simply horse shit. Same as you not caring where he was born. He gets an incredibly easy ride like. He won’t be gone until we probably hit the bottom 3 which is a certainty at some point in my eyes. It was always going to come to this point, and the evidence has simply been his entire career to this point. If fans were in the ground it would be a different story. Football supporting shouldn’t be like this. Dreading games, laughing at your own teams inaptitude, looking for reasons to not watch. It’s awful.

I'll be totally honest, I don't get the whole hatred towards Benitez on here. His career speaks for itself - achieved a lot, but now on the decline.

I've said before I'd much rather see all three NE teams in the top flight and finish top every year, rather than this shite combination of mired in League One, Championship stalwarts and Premier League plughole dwellers. At least then we both wouldn't be laughing at the fact neither club is ran well or winning something substantial anytime soon.

You’re clearly forgetting that Bruce has only now decided to tell the players what he wants. 18 months in.
He said somewhere that he “doesn’t believe in tactics” or summet along those lines. I think he’s lying cos he tried 460 down at Brighton in the LC iirc.
We didn’t need warned. We knew he was shite.
Oh I know that but we were only trying to be neighbourly and stop you lot making the same mistake as we did. For the good of region an that ynar.

its the time's we live in, it's football but not as we know it, to semi quote star trek, he's get's an easy ride from Neville for the simple reasons they were ex team mates, its not just him i have noticed it with but Mark Hughes as well, as for laughing at you're own team, its sometimes the only way to stay sane, consider yourself lucky you aren't in Middlesbrough or our position, but even those two facts will change eventually, its the way of thing's in life as you know, what was down goes up and what is up comes down, as we have seen at other clubs leeds for example, bruce will end the same way with you he has with other clubs, or you will sack him, but i am almost certain he won't give your lot half the bad press he's given us for the better part of 10 years.

Correct me if I'm wrong..but didn't "Rafa" oversee a glorious failure???🤔🤔🤔

Fake news.
Rafa was a glorious leader. He knew football. Great attacking football. All other football was a disaster (and Ashley's fault). No one knows that club like Rafa. Ask anyone (with a Newcastle shirt)

Personally I don't understand the Mags love for him.
He achieved no more or less than the majority of managers they had. But because they made such a fuss about him when he joined, no one dares admit that he isnt quite the manager they thought.
Rafa's past achievements and career are impressive, but they mean nothing with regards Newcastle. Yet still there are fans who want him back.

Agree. This is a bloke who stayed because the majority of the football world did not want him for those reasons.
The moment another club flashed the cashbhe was off. This wasn't a club in Spain, Italy or Germany. China this place was and he went.
Says it all.
Granted Bruce is shite and we knew he would be shite second season in but the Mags under Rafa at times were as bad. Its just Rafa would set his teams up to lose 1-0 where as Bruce team lose by more

Agreed.Up to xmas in tht year we were going really well. It was Welbeck that got injured iirc - just when Bent fukcrd us over. I always wonder what could have been if we had kept Gyan, Bent and Welbeck together the rest of the year. Bruce lost out and so did we,

That last transfer window FFS

Brought in the relegated Birmingham midfield after their fire sale plus a host of others.

He got sacked and left us with his Premier make weights.

It's fair to say we never really recovered from that
Sensible post.
I said before that while you can blame a manager for the formation or the substitutions. But you cant blame them when professional players cant string two passes together, while under no pressure

Its not Bruce's fault that from an attacking corner, the ball was in Darlows hands after a handful of passes. Its not Bruce's fault that when certain players are beaten to the ball they give up.

There are bigger problems in that squad than the manager.

Bruce is a man out of time.

His enthusiastic random footy related bollocks doesn't cut it in the modern era.

He can pick a player, and does have contacts in the game but it's what he can't do which stands out these days.

He can't set the mentality of the team and he hasn't got a scooby when it comes to tactics.

Not me like.
I'd much rather the mags went out of business than finish anywhere near the top of the Premier League. I really don't get anyone who wants them to do well.
I couldn't give 2 shits about Boro, they could be Premier League champions or fall into non league and I wouldn't care less.

What about the project? ;)
Newcastle fans did what they do best. They hyped him up way too early. They looked at his credentials and expected similar at their club. Problem is it spiralled out of control, to the point where Rafa was untouchable. The all knowledgable football fans at that club started to believe their own hype, and even when it was obvious to everyone else that it wasn't working, and that he was off... they couldn't see it. SOme of them had genuinely hyped him up to the level where they thought they were a season or two from Europe and greatness. Despite all the evidence to the contrary!

I drove past the Shark Club when they had the "Rafa please stay" signs up. That would be fitting for a manager who had won cups and titles or been there for years. Rafa got them promoted from the Championship. Hughton did that. Where were the banners for him? There weren't any. Because Hughton wasn't a big enough name. And thats all that matters at Newcastle. Its all about the image of being a top club. Dispite the face they havent been for almost 30 years! Rafa Benitez (or more accurately his success at Liverpool) is part of that
