The vaccine thread

Thought I'd start a new thread to try and have all news on vaccine in one place.

Found this news about Pfizer vaccine in Israel

For those who won't read the article:

Regev-Yohai also added that people who received both doses of the vaccine will most likely not become carriers of the virus and will not spread it further due to the high level of antibodies.

If that's true, that's tremendous.

Its a good job the UK are ignoring all scientific advice and giving the second shot after 12 weeks then :(:(:(

How does following the advice of the JCVI equate to ignoring all scientific advice

Looks that a considerable number of eminent scientists to me

This is what gets up my nose big time, Rabb has No responsibility for rolling out the vaccine, absolutely none so he was right not to make a commitment on behalf of a colleague

On the other hand Nadhim Zahawi does have responSibility for rolling out the vaccine and ensuring everyone has the correct dose in time, absolute responsibility. So how has he broken ranks with Raab who has no responsibility, absolute gutter journalism.

Apparently it is a reliable source too
4,118,342 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have now been administered in

England. +170,900 doses in the latest 24hr period. 3,687,206 people have received their first dose, with 431,136 of those having a second dose (fully vaccinated).

Just listening to some experts now and they make a good point - the fact the vaccines are going so well means people may be dropping their adherence to the rules.
