Winter 2020 cricket Aus, NZ, SA

I actually struggle to watch the cricket in NZ at the minute

It just looks too good the scene. Too idyllic Compared to my current situation. Does that sound weird?
I can understand exactly where you are coming from, I would love to go there for an England series but yeah, watching people relaxing on the grass
isn't easy :(
Insomnia time at the moment for me so I decided to watch Williamson get to 200.
The bloke is pure class, a handshake with his batting partner, almost apologetic raise of the bat to the crowd then on he goes.
The way he carried himself during and after the world cup defeat against us was brilliant.
Kohli and Smith could learn a lot from him.

I just love the way they go about things - After that World cup defeat they just shrugged their shoulders and got on with it. Can you imagine India or the convicts doing the same? not a f***ing chance they would.

I dont disagree with you here like

There will be a school of thought that says its why they have never won a world cup. I dont really agree with that like, but the aussies win at all costs mentality does sometime work.

Aye pure class is the right phrase like, I think he learnt a lot from McCullum in that regard, his batting is just a natural talent, great timer of the ball. Great to watch

I'd say he is their best ever cricketer, ahead of Hadlee

Would have had to share the trophy or replay the final if it happened against them

Hadlee is my favourite ever bowler, he more or less carried N Zealand in the eighties. Williamson is fast becoming one of my favourite batsmen.
As in their rugby teams, they do so well for the size of population.

Bit off topic but aren’t they a bit disliked in rugby circles. Not a rugby Union man but heard people talk about them that way. Or is it just the usual dislike/jealousy of good teams?

Some of the between delivery footage of the crowd in the NZ v Pakistan match is outstanding. Just watched kids in the crowd playing cricket with a dustbin as the wicket.

It all seems so innocent, carefree and almost from another time. God bless the NZ people and government for getting on top of COVID. A lesson for the UK.
Shows what happens when a competent government get elected, rather than a load of self-serving Etonian pricks because they come out with jingoistic nonsense and three word slogans.

Hope they're having the time of their lives out there. Not jealous at all!

Kyle Jamieson
6 matches
36 wickets @ 13.27
4x5 wickets in innings
1x10 wickets in match
SR 33.3
226 runs @ 56.50 (only 6 innings with 2 not outs)

some start to a test career
Fantastic start, I've not seen much other than a few highlights so looking forward to seeing him.

Read a bit of the article about Bumrah on the BBC, I knew he was a seriously good bowler but I didn't realise quite how good his numbers are.

Australia win the toss and bat. Rat face back for them opening with that Pucovski lad

Have to sit it out these first two nights unfortunately but hopefully will be set up nicely by Friday night

Might watch this for a bit, nice distraction from everything else that is happening. Rohit Sharma opening for India - personally if he isnt playing on the roads in India I'm not sure he should open in test cricket. Maybe a good middle order player

Starting half an hour earlier in Sydney for the next three days, 11pm our time.

I might actually manage to see some before sleep!
