Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Behind the scenes is not good enough. If they are a fan organisation they need to tell supporters all they know/learn. I was told the time wasn;t right to protest as we had enjoyed a good start (it wasn't even that good). It was mag like behaviour. We win a few games so the destruction of our your teams and structure is just ignored. I'm beginningto get as angry with this as I am with SD and co.

It depends on where it comes from. Unless it’s written or recorded fact, then it’s not guaranteed to be 100%, maybe even libel depending on the matter.
Believe me, if RAWA knew something that was damaging to the club and it’s future, they would definitely speak out regardless.
All supporters (barring a few sycophants) want to see the back of Donald/Methven, but at the same time, they wanna see how this ‘takeover’ plays out. If RAWA were to interject at this stage, then they’ll have another ready made bullshit excuse if it fails.
I’d like to see RAWA pressure more, but it’s not just what me or you want, it’s more what our fan base as a majority want.

He said: "The reality is that the decision to remove Phil [Parkinson] was made by the board of Sunderland.

"The appointment of Lee [Johnson] was made by the board of Sunderland, and the decision to bring in Kristjaan [Speakman] was made by the board of Sunderland.

"Those are the facts.”

The pretendy ITK whoppers saying Donald/Rodwell had no involvement and it was all KLD

What would be the point of that now though?

If Rodwell is right and it’s with the EFL, then it’s a waiting game and we can’t do anything to speed that up.
He said certain things are with the EFL tbf. We don’t even know how far down the line anything is

How can it be greed. He will end up losing millions if no takeover secured. He hasnt got the dosh. Its just normal negotiating. Dreyfus will end up with the full club
He will end up losing millions if the club goes into administration. He could also lose millions if he sells up his full shareholding now, compared to keeping a minority stake.

So if he has other options in selling the club, which may not be as good for the club going forward as this dreyfus kid, but allow him to retain a minority stake then he will probably take that.

I think its now blatantly obvious that Stewart donald is going to do whats best for him and not necessarily the club.

Article says the paperwork is with the EFL but despite the whole thing being filled with quotes there's no quote for that confirmation.

It also says Storey isn't a credible buyer but again no quote in relation to that whatsoever bar Rodwell sating they won't comment on potential buyer.

Bizarre.

Edit: He does say certain documents are with the EFL (don' t know what these are) but it was one sentence sandwiched between a load of adverts so missed it.

But he also says its a very complex situation. The strong inference is there are details regarding the proposed takeover still to be agreed. It seems to fit in with what nixon is saying.

I dint think donald can make money from current positon. Money owed out to investors - sartori / americans. Imo he's not avle to dictate how this pans out as the timer is ru ning out on him financially

the last sentance has been obvious for a long time

In that case they should ask the fanbase. I believe theres a growing will for something to be done. We can't just wait and see how things play out as doing nothing won't be in our interests. We need to show any potential new owners we want change and also current owners that they won't be tolorated or funded by us any longer. A push from our end may just be enough to get things done... and we know no matter what the current lot will blame supporters either way!

It still doesn’t make sense to me. To give in after waiting so long and make all these fundamental changes and appointments would be indicative of a takeover being miles off being agreed.
But then KLD liking SAFC social media and reports from reputable media sources then contradict that.

I’ve no idea where it sits. I won’t put much stock in what Rodwell says mind. I doubt he could lie straight in bed.

If Donald accepts that EFL loan we will know for certain that no takeover is happening.
or like changing the guard in dads army.. one bunch of useless fekkas for another bunch of useless fekkers. We need someone to takeover who can repay the efl loan/bale out in full and not bat an eye ...............What has this great club done in the past to warrant a long line of complete and utter fuckwits owners ......sometime our luck must change surely? My gaster is flagbbered that these clowns have hired two new senior posts ( and more so the have accepted)whilst a takeover is supposed to be near completion without discussing it with the new owners!Obviously this points to santi having a huge part in any future arrangement.I still cannot believe its not been discussed so im guessing that rodders truth gland is shrinking to donald levels.

Also worth pointing out that YET AGAIN after RAWA post a tweet about a missed meeting the club leak more info to delay.

Edit: @Ghandi Floss this club statememt needs to be consistently highlighted, mate. Particulary now as there's reports Donalds refusal to sell is causing problems.

"Given these circumstances, and Stewart Donald’s sincere commitment on his arrival at Sunderland AFC that “I won’t outstay my welcome”, the Board feels that it has no option but to sell the club. That process has now commenced. Owing to confidentiality agreements, there will be no further updates until a preferred bidder is identified."
