Do you think SD and CM are pumping money into this new structure after paying Parkinson off?
Pumping money?? Hardly.

Anyway, it's a question of what you deem as 'control'. If he has 40 per cent shares is he in control in your opinion? Not in mine. He'll be part of an ownership group, as described already by Speakman.

Hardly? We're skint, but there's going to be at least 2 new roles - where's the money for their wages coming from? Where did the money come from for paying Parkinson off?

You definitely know nowt about Lee Johnson.

Watch Speakman's interview, Then see how far away Pearson is away from that.
I understand you live in the South West so what is the Lee Johnson story from that part of the world? Why did you highlight the bit about money? I did say 'probably' as I don't know obviously. Hope the lad does well-maybe with Speakman's influence [allegedly they know each other?] they will energise a club that currently couldn't get much lower in all truth. I want them to succeed badly.

Not once have I said there isnt new investment coming in. There clearly is, from Dreyfus. The question remains though of who is making decisions. Who has control. I really do hope he has more than 40 per cent, otherwise there will be problems in the hierarchy in the future.

You really think Dreyfuss would let SD and CM spend his money after seeing the clusterfuck way they've ran this club?

Haway man

It looks like he's had a big say in appointing Speakman, and then let Speakman have full control of appointing a manager.

I'm a little confused as to how I feel about that, because I'm happy with the fact we have a sporting director, and equally happy with the appointment of Speakman. But I have serious concerns about Lee Johnson.

There seems to be a paradox in that Speakman is all about academies and development whereas Johnson failed to play his youngsters at Bristol city despite them having a strong academy

I'm just saying he'll be on a sight more than Parky was. City fans are a bit Marmite about him. When they were good, City were very, very good, but when they were bad, the wheels fell off. He wasn't backed by Lansdown as much as you might think. Most of his investment went on developing Ashton Gate or the rugby club (both teams are in the same Lansdown owned group); they certainly aren't among the Championship big spenders. The real worry is that they'd get to Feb/March, and look good for at least the playoffs, and then it all went tits up. They're a bit like a Championship Peterborough. I'm not as worried by this potential appointment, though he wouldn't have been mine.
