Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Yes it does but to varying degrees. Although Poyet has won promotion from this league before, I find it highly unlikely he's been keeping tabs on the division and will know the players and playing styles of the teams in the league. He'd need to be brought up to speed on our squad and the attributes of certain players, which could cost us points during that transition period as he learns about the squad.

You could argue that someone like Cook with more recent experience of the division and having worked with players in the squad before would be better suited to the immediate task in hand, though i'll admit that was part of the logic behind the Parkinson apppointment. Poyet probably a better long term shout but I think would take a bit longer to get results this season. The good thing is that he'd be afforded more time than most and would give the club a big lift.
Given how shite the rest of the league seems, I'm hopeful a detailed knowledge of Div3 isn't essential. It shouldn't matter that Gillingham are tall, or that Rochdale like to play out from the back or whatever. All I've really learned so far is that the horseshoe formation leads to tight, boring games with few chances for either side.

I'm confident we have a decent enough squad that other teams should be worrying about our football, not us theirs.

I think he means the two behind you.
Wise Men Say Podcast presenters are the least of our worries. Like all of us, they just want what is best for the club.

Nothing wrong with a critical eye and asking questions. Often their realism is confused with negativity, and used as a stick to bash them with.

You can tell listening to the wide range of stuff they put out, that they care a shitload about Sunderland.

Nowt wrong with that.

Gareth had been talking about how he'd had to move seats because two idiots behind him moaned so much. Those were the ones referred to as having anger issues. not Gareth himself.

KB is a club legend and always will be but he is part for the problem, been their too long and needs freshening up. Same goes for Montgomery.

All I’ve learnt from watching this league is that everyone is dog shite and if you are remotely competent you should walk the league. Hopefully we get a manager that can get the players playing 10% better than the opposition
