Mark Twain - "A lie can travel around the world while the truth is lacing up its boots"

True then, even more so with the internet.

Let's just say that journalists aren't as assiduous as they used to be in assessing their sources, and there are those who delight in propagating misinformation, for whatever reason.

Clicks mean advertising revenue.........With the exception of the broadsheets, the vast majority have turned into the Daily Sport...........

Things don’t have to be black or white like.

It’s fair to be happy there is imminent change. I’ve had a few snippets from @prehab26 via PM and it’s all been on the money. Hopefully it will result in big sweeping changes from top to bottom.

That of course doesn’t need to then stop you remaining naturally sceptical about the current owners retaining involvement. It’s a case of once bitten; twice shy so you’ve got to be able to understand both points of view.

All this little sniping at each other is nee good like but we need to be more pragmatic when the new owners are known. Hopefully they are professional enough to not need to nip round the tavern for a pint to get people onside and we can judge them by their immediate actions not some empty words on a fan podcast or because they allowed fans a selfie.

Do you genuinely believe people don’t want whatever deal this is to be absolutely successful for the club? People might have questions about it but everyone wants everything to be as successful as possible.
I genuinely believe there are some posters on here that would love it to fall through just to be able to say I told you so.

Yet we were 1 goal away from the play offs and 1 win away from automatic promotion

On the face of it, it looked as clear as that, however we'd played at least a game more than everyone above us, had just lost easily at Bristol Rovers and drawn at home to Gillingham with Peterborough up next who were battering the top teams left, right and centre. I'm fairly confident we weren't going up last season when it was halted.

Bang on pal. There are good posters giving indication that good stuff is about to happen. A note of caution is entirely understandable with these vandals in charge of the club, though. And tagging local press reports that don't align with the info from online ITKs as some sort of Magedia conspiracy is tinfoil hat territory. Truth is that they can't really start spouting stuff that only the Very Online SAFC fans are aware of. And given established facts they can really only write the articles one way.

Great post.

Sorry you said 'win' as though we'd won 4-0, anyway it's a pretty dramatic reason to move seats! Let's hope we're all a lot happier soon though.....

That wasn’t the only reason. They just whinged constantly and at half time they used to talk about how great the Tories are every week so that was it for me.

They were two of the most miserable hate filled people I’ve ever heard in my life. Ended up getting into an argument with them so just moved seats. Couldn’t be arsed with their shite every week.

and you did your PGCE with a complete Walter Mitty barmpot and held it together so they must have been bad ;)

Nor were Wycombe. Not convinced Rotherham were either.
