Aye I think you should be hiring a manager who can work well with your SD rather than the other way round.

We’ll see how it pans out though.

Edit - I’ve worded that terribly, but you know what I mean.
[/QUOTE Unless SD is employed and cant take up job till end of next mth

Doesn't necessarily mean the sporting director isn't sorted and wasn't involved in that decision, just that it won't be announced until the end of the month. Can depend on their current employment/personal status.

Correct. As incomprehensible as it might be to some on here, there may be a little bit of joined up thinking going on.

Why? a manager is the more pressing need.

He may be happy with the SD? or be having an input into it.
That's the tail wagging the dog. Any manager should be left in no uncertain terms that he isn't the primary strategic decision maker for the club. He should also have his parameters set by someone who is responsible for the health of the club over multiple years. If we get this wrong we'll be at risk of storing up trouble again - just as we did the last time we tried this

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but If KLD and Sartori buy 80% of Madrox, would they then be responsible for 80% of the loan? Or is it up to the Madrox board members to decide amongst themselves how it gets repaid? If it's been left in there then that must be factored into the share price surely?

Madrox is responsible for the loan. If internal funding is needed to repay it, that's a matter for the shareholders in Madrox to decide amongst themselves. It will be factored into the deal for the price, inasmuch as Donald's £37m figure was a price for MArdox to sell Sunderland. If the deal is just for Donald to sell some of his shares in Madrox, then the price should relate to his financial input to it, which amounted to £12m in July last year (it could well have increased since). That leaves Madrox still responsible for the loan, and any future funding of Sunderland.

Who has actually left? Parkinson and his assistant?

Somebody told my the academy staff and a lot of background staff have left but I can’t find any information on that.

Or, the SD is already calling the shots, just has to wait for whatever reason before being appointed.

If the new owners have identified their choice of manager and have him lined up, then that is a breath of fresh air to the usual SAFC approach. Clearly the takeover is days away and that is why JP was sacked

Over the course if the last few months not just out with philodactyl, there's no permanent u18'coach or assistant at this point, also no academy director I think is the title, not too concerned with that as bringing back mcnamee was a good move, itl all soon get sorted I'm sure, however also at this point we have no scouting network or head of recruitment as well as chairman so plenty to sort which I think is probably already ongoing by the new set up imo
