Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

No one should be employed at any level by the club who is so willing to openly express their utter disdain for the fan base. The idea that Methven will return to the top table and be able to continue with his toxic fans narrative is extremely concerning.

And frankly, that the new owners would sanction this is a cause for concern with regards their due diligence and decision making.
👏👏

I'd have thought that was pretty obvious and it doesn't really need explaining to you?
Personal agenda? He talks dismissively of “the French kid” and his wording isn’t particularly eloquent and gives no substance to his personal opinion.
We don’t even know the full set up and names involved yet and the obsession with CM running the whole club is farcical.
A DOF/Sporting Director is to be appointed and he will be the head honcho off the field in effect. CM will be involved but not in the overseeing, full power role that many are clearly assuming on here.
The new investors are elite level business people and will hopefully be serious players.

I understand that mate. And if all he’s going to be is a minor shareholder who has absolutely no input whatsoever in any capacity then I’ll hold me nose until he’s just a bad memory. What does concern me is if the majority shareholders do give him any kind of role then I’d seriously question their judgement. Alls said and done there’s nowt I can do personally as I’ll just have to wait and see, but speaking for myself it would be a huge kick in the nuts if that twat had any involvement at all. Additionally I would trust him to keep his Pimms hatch shut.
My sentiments exactly!cannot stand the man and would question anybody who thinks he would be anything other than a divisive appointment He has a track record of failure and an ego like a planet and that aint a good combination.

If Methven helped make this deal happen, and has nothing to do with the football decisions I'm not bothered if he's still involved. As long as he's competent (at a minimum) not really fussed. As for his stupid comments, some folks have very thin skin. It's the gutting of the academy that pisses me off, and for all I know he might have been overruled on that, he only has a minor share compared to SD. More likely that will have been SD and Hill screwing the football size of things up. But it's all guess work until something is officially announced.

He’s been a serial failure at everything he’s tried to do, and that’s not counting what he’s done here. That alone should set off a klaxon in someone’s head.

This takeover, if you can call it that, looks a complete sham. The 3 clowns who got us into this mess are still going to have overall control of the club and the less said about that gobshite Methven still involved the better. Not getting good vibes about this at all.

Alarm bells should have been ringing very loudly from the moment the details were first announced. Sham sounds like the perfect way to describe it unfortunately

You say that about SD and RH screwing things up but methven is on record defending Parkinson saying he kept Colchester up in the championship. The bloke is a complete idiot.

If Methven has made this deal happen then it will be for personal gain rather than anything else and most likely has their ear. That is my concern as he is an inept PR guru, who is generally insulting to the fanbase. And yes some fans have thin skins, but it shouldn't even need to be a conversation

Yes definitely for personal gain, he's looking after his 6% , but that's not going to come to fruition unless he's successful.

What if CM is the one choosing the sporting director?
And this is the kicker. Given his comments on why Parkinson was the standout candidate I dont have any faith in his decision making. We just have to wait and see what that appointment is. Even then we need them to let him crack on and not meddle with his affairs. Look at the Grigg deal to see how these morons do business. First team coach, Chief Scout and head of football operations all telling Donald to walk away and yet it was still Donald who made the call.

If you leave out what he’s said and just look at what he’s done here, that should be enough. And there’s a difference between being thin skinned and standing up for yersel.

Tone deaf beyond belief if true.

If Armstrong is right then it means KLD and Sartori will both have 40%.

Means Madrox as it stands (Donald,Methven,Sartori) will hold 60% and therefore will have the majority say? Would be a major worry

Possibly but there are people with in the company who operate at a high level.
Bottom line is we all need to wait snd see what the set up is.

The name Joey Saputo came up earlier. The link between Sartori and Louis-Dreyfus is that their businesses operate in the same sector. So does Saputo's. He's already in football as a participant in the consortium that owns Bologna.
