Joey Barton and my skin

I'd have him as manager. He's doing a great job at Fleetwood. They stand a chance of going up this season.

I'm sure I saw an interview in which he as good as confirmed that he was offered the job but wasn't prepared to take it because of the grief he get.

Isn't he due in court for twatting another manager soon in any case?

We've been shite against them every time we've played them to be fair, probably second best nearly every time. Best we played was probably the 2-1 loss down there under Ross, could have been out of sight in the first half. Bottled it.

yeah should have been 3 or 4 by half time and on our way to closing the goal difference on barnsley with southend to come. we were terrible in the second half and even worse against southend
we should have beat them last season as well. stonewall pen turned down and o'nien missed a sitter

I'd honestly delete this thread. Have we even beat JB's FT™ yet? The only people that benefit from some self-instigated rivalry here are JB and JB, it's kind of pathetic and ridiculous this thread has happened.

What's that phrase where it's like 'if you [something] the terrorists win'? It's like that, this. If you've made this thread, Joey Barton has won, even though few of us bar Joey Barton or OP even knew we were playing.

Joey Barton loves to deflect the pressure from his players by talking up his rivalry with Sunderland.
To be honest it’s a decent tactic and I hate to say it but joey Barton is a decent manager at league one.

What is even more unfortunate is that he is probably now in a category of manager that we would struggle to attract.

No chance. He is, despite his numerous attempts to demonstrate otherwise, not daft.

He would jump at the opportunity and not give a second thought to his previous employers, previous comments about SAFC, or how his appointment would be received by either Sunderland or Newcastle fans.

As a young, presumably ambitious, manager what bigger job could he hope to be considered for?

Listening to the Fleetwood owner on the podcast, talks about Barton as a leader of men with personality and charisma & fantastic communicator. The complete opposite of our Phil.

True mate, mind I couldn't stand Roy Keane until he managed us.
Keane was genuinely quite hard, Barton is just a pathetic chavvy bully who shits himself when someone tougher (ie Etuhu) retaliates. Wouldn’t want that loser mag anywhere near our club.

Fleetwood are 4/1 half time/full time. At home.

Barton is a grade A shitbag of a human being, and without football would undoubtedly be inside more than he's been outside.

However.

He's still a better manager than ours, and is able to motivate, manage and set his team up to win. He also has a plan b.

The horrible little bastard will take the heat off his players again whilst instilling a will to win in them I'd give my right bollock for.

Parkinson said in his interview on Monday he's looked at how he can change things. I think that's an absolute load of shit.

Our owner would probably say the same thing about Parkinson if asked. I wouldn't believe him like
