I wasn`t a big Ross out at all, quite the opposite, but it needs a new manager and his staff in so i am a Parky out. We have some decent players who can improve and some shite who need showing the door, a new manager would do that as we know.

We need a good DOF who this said manager can work alongside and a scouting system which again the new manager and DOF trusts. If the new owners cant spend on players then we must spend on the foundations , once we get an income back after COVID that is.

All of that is obvious i know, but it must happen soon and CM must have no role in the club other than a shareholder. SD i suspect will not but i fear the posh prick will.

Big, solid, tin hat on here but Methven is better than Donald in terms of business, he's just an arrogant, pompous prick.

If i had to pick between the two of them i would rather have Methven working under a proper regime where he can't just do and say as he pleases, than Donald, who is literally clueless.

I dont want either like, but if that's the way it's going to be then so be it, anything is better than now.

In the early days he talked an excellent game. His vision for the club and how we should be doing things almost exactly aligned with my own. It was music to my ears.

Whether that was all bluff and bluster, whether he wasn't competent enough to implement it or whether he was hamstrung in his vision by being the minority shareholder and not that involved in the football side of things (lots of rumours that he and Donald didn't see eye to eye on things) I don't know.

But his delivery, manner and attitude towards the fans was appalling. If he is brought on board by KLD then I won't be out protesting for his instant dismissal but I'll have to think long and hard about whether I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. I'm pretty sure I'll never like the bloke though.

Quite possibly in terms of a specific industry that he's operated in. I don't think it's possible to compare a car insurance business to a football club though.

I think it’s important to say that I don’t think any of us know the “role” he’ll play. He might be pretty insignificant, he might be more front and centre, we just don’t know yet. Let’s see.

To be fair, while I agree it would be ridiculous to bring Methven back in to that extent, I can't see it happening, and I think the poster was genuinely just saying he doesn't know, as opposed to making any suggestions.

Yes and Methven shouldn't be involved in making footballing decisions. One of the biggest downfalls of Donald and Methven is trying to do this alone without specialist people in specialist roles.

I think the suggestion is he wouldn't be in the background, he is going to have a prominent role. It's not really the best start for new owners when one of the main concerns is that the previous owners are still involved. It doesn't really suggest they understand the mood of the fanbase even if he thinks Methven can do a decent job.

If we are getting a sporting director etc as suggesed he'll have very little input. I hope that's the case. As I've said I don't like him and don't think he has much to offer. I do think that as high as feelings are towards those 2 are right now, quite rightly, it'd soon change I'd we become successful

I'd we're getting a sporting director to run things and a new manager and coaching set up too I can't see where he can have much influence. I'd prefer the lot of them gone but that can't always be the case

id rather stay as we are than have Methven involved around the club. If he stays down south and says nothing I am ok with that. If he’s up here slagging of safc fans. From what I’ve gathered talking about him ( not just on here ) it would not be a good idea for him to come anywhere near the stadium or the town on a match day. He won’t be well received at the ground or round about.

You see I really disagree with that. We ALWAYS get good crowds on Boxing Day - particularly when the atmosphere around the club is good (which it was at the time). At best he added his voice to something that was going to happen anyway. Maybe he added a little to it but the simple truth is that we would have probably broken the record without any involvement from him.

This...as much he a self entitled elitist, as much as hes let his mouth go demeaning northerners...he has a 6% share ina club that could earn him millions, he is the ultimate PR Guru...the Government enlist his services so hes pretty good at his day job.....look at the bigger picture promoting his 6% interest with billionaire backing

Being given employment by our current government is not indicative of competence.

Obviously the talkins and podcasts were his downfall but his promoting of the club only got it more noticed, he constantly banged the drum to get fans in through the door, pretty sure if it wasnt for his push of tickets getting sold we wouldnt have had 46,000 on boxing day....He done a lot wrong but he did do a lot of good
