Takeover News/Rumours

Absolute nonsense article to be fair. France Football think Louis-Dreyfus isn't aware of Sunderland's finances because he hasn't done due diligence but somehow they know about our finances without due diligence to forsee a problem. Doesn't make sense at all.
Due diligence has to have been completed so its absolute nonsense

Fuck is that website like? New paragraph evry two lines to make the article look longer?

Why does it have to have been completed? Didn't Ashley famously not bother with it to Acquire NUFC quicker?

It depends on how much risk a buyer is prepared to accept. If Sartori is putting the deal together, there ought to be less detail needed. Ashley didn't bother, and was horrified by the shambles that needed sorting pronto, which cost him £130m (which he should get back on a sale, to be fair). That's why it's normally a good idea to do it properly.

From memory it meant that he didn't realise:
They had a 30 million overdraft that the bank was about to start proceedings to clear it - he had to clear it immediately.
The 'mortgage' taken out against future season ticket sales that had been used to extend the stadium had a clause in it that meant if there was a change of owners the bank could call in the full amount of the loan at once - they did! He had to pay it in one go.

That's a couple of reasons why he should have done it!

Haha. 2 weeks he says. That’s all I know.
This is a long thread but "two weeks" was first mentioned 3 months ago.(not by you i know)............ its like a smb collective seance and the itk's are the mackem spirit guide,,never being able to form a sentence or provide any useful facts............ Bread and jam tomorrow comes to mind but im a cynical old twat and cannot get away from the thought that anybody close to the deal would know if dd had been completed ,if efl approval hand been completed and why its taking another two weeks.........

To be honest the endless calculations over covid, revenue and share allocation don't point to new owners with plans to spend any significant sums .They appear to be arguing over small details such as counting the bottles of liniment in the physio room and don't say have a plan to get us to the prem and are prepared to fund it!To use the Bruce's old analogy i think we may be moving from a couple of spivs selling dodgy watches from the back of a van to opening a dodgy tatoo shop in suddick!......... Im not getting at the itk as im sure they are posting in good faith but they have said a lot without actually saying anything (sic)........Our great club and even greater fans deserve to shop at Fortnum and Masons every day of the week.

I was sceptical before about this 'takeover' and i remained so when the guardian story broke but i was more than happy to be wrong. The more i think about it though, this just doesn't stack up. You listen to people who you would imagine have more access to people within the game, the fans groups, ex players etc. They all seem dubious. WMS and Phillips recently, but you look at when they first took over, you had the likes of Howey, Gray and Armstrong saying theyve got no money. Everyone was giving them grief because people are so desperate to have something to believe in. Everything that has come out in the past couple of weeks has very little substance to it. Theres been no serious interest for the best part of a year then suddenly in the midst of a pandemic, with no fans in the ground there are multiple parties vying to buy it. Conveniently just around the time you would imagine these charlatans are really starting to feel the pinch and are losing a fortune every month. I think the plan all along was to have another pop at getting promoted but the virus has thrown a spanner in the works and they are struggling financially. This is all smoke and mirrors.

Or maybe there is a good deal about to go through which no one really knows the details as they're doing things professionally.

You're post has even less substance to it than everything that has come out.
