80s memories

I actually preferred playing Jet Set Willy.

I cannot count the number of hours I wasted trying to play Gremlins and Seabase Delta on Spectrum. And Airwolf was another one too that seemed very much impossible to get very far too.

I don't think I ever saw the second screen of that game, overly difficult to say the least.

Aye Sunday teatime was a funny old mish mash of assorted pies, sausage rolls, trifles and jam tarts:confused:
We still do an 80’s buffet type Sunday tea if we’re not going out. It’s a bit more up to date like with anchovies and Parma ham and that but the old classic sausage rolls and cheese cubes are still in there 👍

August '88 my Dad died when I was away, only aged 69.
December '88 my youngest daughter was born.
The Living Years song is still quite poignant for me.
I'm nearly 73.
Get that, my Dad died in November of 88 and that song was prominent.

New Romantics, rara skirts, puffa skirts, backcombed hair, Madonna fingerless gloves, hair bows, checky jeans from Geordie Jeans, those winter coats with the cartoon strip inside, Spectrum 128K+2, Jet Set Willy, Paperboy, Manic Miner, Miners Strike, being poor, Calorgas Heaters, stone fireplaces, Ferguson Videostars, Betamax, WWF Wrestling, Washington Cable, playing out with the kids from the whole street (cannon, kiss cuddle or torture, what's the time Mr Wolf, Curby etc).........I could go on
