I don’t think all that much of him from what I’ve seen tbh. I’d rather play McLaughlin this far. With Feeney back in the new year and potentially Younger at some point, I think we’d probably have sufficient cover. May just be early jitters though.

That's kind of the point though. Yet another damning indictment of our recruitment. Also of our uncanny ability to bring in promising loanees and use them (or not) in a way that demonstrates none of their promise.

Not to mention the poor use of the loan market again and that yet another team sends out a prospect to us to get game time just to see them hardly used. Hardly going to help our chances of attracting any talent in the future.

It’s nonsense but he’s played 3-5-2 in all but one game this season so it’s almost certainly going to be that. Even Parkinson wouldn’t play scowen or power left wing but take your point that it’s no more ridiculous than Onein at centre back - difference is he’s inexplicably done that several times before

I’m not saying it won’t be 3-5-2, in fact I’m pretty sure it will be.

I was responding to another poster who seemed amazed that anyone was speculating it may be 4-4-2

With the personnel listed, it’s not a massive leap of assumption. That’s all.

No he won’t. They’re different types of player but parky sees it as 3-5-2 regardless of personnel hence his comments about scowen and maguire competing for the same position. Clueless

I think they must have got him mixed up with Diamond, who was.

They certainly didn't as they referred to him as Daniel Niel. They knew who diamond was and both came across as very knowledgeable.

To be fair I actually thought grigg looked ok in pre season and was unlucky against hull not to have a couple of goals. He’s then been entirely ostracised so I’m not sure why people are so against his inclusion today. Has he even started since hull?
