Midfield
I didn't watch the match last night, and just read he scored a hat-trick.
That's a few goals now for him in the premier league (checks BBC website - 6 goals in 6 games).

He's a bit of journeyman and also now 27 years old, I thought he was a lot younger.

Is he any good?

I ask because at Boro he did very little in terms of scoring goals, just a dozen. Is he a better player than his stats show, or has he just found the right manager in the right system and all other managers were not playing to his strengths?

Missed two glorious chances with his head before he scored

Two of his goals last night were superb.
If I was Leeds I'd get someone else in too mind...they create an insane amount of chances and could be unstoppable if they copy Liverpool a bit with three strikers?

I remember several years ago we played MK Dons In the league cup at SOL.
There was a young blonde kid on loan to the the Dons he was very good, we all noticed him and it was Bamford.
For whatever reason managers just don’t seem to have been able to consistently get the best out of him until Bielsa.
The ability was always there though.

Maybe a bit like Kane - time spent in lower league's perhaps give them more time to hone their skills and also mature as people/players. He's been impressive like.

I work with a Leeds fan who would have been very happy to get rid of Bamford right up to this summer. A couple of lovely finishes last night but he missed a couple of good chances before his first. And that's why my mate doesn't like him, he misses a lot of chances, he's not clinical, although you would think otherwise if you just saw last night's finishes.

Yeah mate, but it was dirty Leeds in the 1970s - 40-50 years ago. They had their share of hooligans in the 80s as did everyone. Surely by now people need to have moved on from things that happened in the 70s.
They had a lot more than ‘their share’ of hooligans

A very good footballer who often scores in difficult circumstances, involving a huge amount of skill, his third I think it was, was a fantastic display of close control. If he could get on the end of more of the scruffy, easy chances, like his first goal, he would be something else. The few times I saw anything of Leeds last season they just seemed to be lacking a "natural finisher" for all of the chances they create but that would be in addition to Bamford, not instead of.
