What's ironic about it? I'm not one of a number of people in this thread foaming at the mouth because a guy has some forthright opinions. I don't think someone's an arsehole because I disagree with their politics, nor do I think someone's great because they agree with me. It's sad how many think like this. It's also kind of amusing to see those who've allowed themselves to be socially reprogrammed to get outraged at a right-wing/nationalistic etc. view or meme.

He’s unbearable. In an age where we have former England captains such as Atherton, Hussain and Strauss being very good in their respective fields of writing, broadcasting or administration, and even Flintoff being likeable in light entertainment, Vaughan has chosen to be a poundshop Geoff Boycott.

All of the class and grace he showed with a cricket bat certainly hasn’t transferred into his post cricketing career work.

My answer to that would be yes, we fought hard to keep the enemy out, not lie down to let it in and take over the country as they did with covid.
