Sad state of affairs.

This far for me we haven’t signed a single definite first team starter.

Not a penny spent on signings (I think)

He’s done a fine job deflecting away from this if there really isn’t a takeover.

Donald will have no money left as he has paid back the yanks loan hasn' he Bob?nice to see you back Bob ...as I like to know where the village idiots are at all times to keep me safe,....in all seriousness do you think having a casual pint with someone high up in the club that they are going to tell you anything of value?....well if you do you should reserve your smock from idiot&proud.com.

So thick you wrote it twice. nice one

If, and I have no itk info at all, the takeover is off, would anyone really be surprised that Donald is to blame? Honestly, he loves the power it gives him, given that we are such a big club, especially in the tin pot league we are in. He can't let it go. The power, the potential to make millions, to satisfy his ego or even just the chance to employ his mates are all obvious reasons why he doesn't really want to sell. The whole 'This is Sunderland' bollocks when he first took over, completely gave the game away. He couldn't believe his luck, getting a club like ours, on the cheap, with huge advantages for getting promoted at the first attempt. He got the support onside, took a flyer on an unproven manager, bought journeyman who he thought would be just about good enough and sold anything that wasn't nailed down, especially talent for the years ahead, as that wasn't going to be his concern. Employed his ill equipped mates to run key areas of the club and charmed the media through marketing and spin. I hate to sound like them up the road, but it really is getting to the stage where a boycott will be all that's left to us to, at least try, to enforce change. Difficult at this time obviously, but it won't last forever, so for now stop buying streams, shirts or whatever we can that financially support the club. It is a gamble, I accept that, but what is the alternative? We plod along in this godforsaken league, watching the dross served up by Parkinson and major decisions being made by a completely arrogant, lying chancer, who does not have the clubs best interest at heart? Anyone with any genuine interest in my club at all, would have sold it already to give it a fighting chance of survival, not pissed about trying to squeeze every penny out of something that's dying on it's arse anyway.

Of course it’s about his ego and always has been, imagine telling everyone he owns a huge club like Sunderland, he does not want to sell and never did

Is your implication therefore that Donald is the problem once again?
And what is the decision he has to make? Again are you implying that he perceives whatever offers are supposedly out there do not suit his financial expectations (in relation what he wants monetary wise to leave)?
No mate, SD looked at the hairy one and said he cant even do proof of funds not once but twice, same for this so called MG group.

How do we go from it being publicly announced on the radio that the deal is running smoothly, to someone coming on here saying it's not happening and everyone's pissing themselves again?

Him and especially Methven really pissed people 'very high' up at the club to leave. Couldn't work with them "f***ing bunch of amateurs and wankers the both of them" were the words i got told from an ex employee.

which is probably why they brought so many “mates” in. People in football will know all about any issues, perhaps thats why we still don’t have an academy manager / Chairman etc.

Doesn't surprise me. The one i'm talking about was a major playing role business side of the club. Would have worked wonders if he'd stayed
I’m not defending SD and CM, I despise them more than most but from what I’ve seen in person and what was evident on STID the majority of staff they inherited when they bought the club needed to be got rid of and had played a significant role in why the club was on its arse. You say the one your talking about would have worked “wonders” if he had stayed, I would question why he wasn’t doing it already?
