Takeover News/Rumours

Storey is an obvious bullshitter as we've discussed many times.

But let's just for one second humour him and assume he could come up with the backers... how likely would you say it is that he passes any fit and proper test, given what has happened with his other companies? With an active court case open against him, he's not got a hope in hell.

Has anyone asked magnus if it's definitely with the EFL? Sounds like anyone and everyone else thinks it's some way off that point.
Surely it depends on the backers and their intentions, his share and what his role would be. If he was the Methven of the group with a small % of shares and no overall control would it matter necessarily?

Barnes seems to think it’s gone to the EFL.

No, he said on Saturday that he'd been told that the next step would be to go to the EFL. There's a lot of wiggle room in all this, that can be true and still not have happened yet, but I'm not necessarily saying magnus is wrong, just interested to know if he's willing to double down when others have said it's still in DD.

Five strander marra.

Understandably as he was an arrogant, narcissistic, condescending, patronising, mendacious prick who was shit at his job.
Im still waiting on him showing us what good looks like.

Don't be silly. I was told that I was being an idiot when i said as much just after the takeover.

Ive given up the ghost of any realistic chance of us getting a take over done this side of Christmas.. that may be the eternal pessimist in me but I cant see anything happening soon.
If it were to happen what do we expect to change on the pitch? A change in players confidence, attitude.. or dare I say belief?
Im sat watching a couple of cup games featuring our league opposition and it really brings home to me two things... how far we have fallen as a professional club and how much we are pretty much part of the furniture and will be for a long time to come. really depressing...

If a takeover does go through soon. Does anyone think Donald would dare come to game in the future? Personally think he’s burned too many bridges with supporters.
There would be no need for him to, so I can’t imagine he’ll come anywhere near. That would probably be the smartest thing he'd have done since becoming involved with the club.

A lot of people got swept along and most likely wanted to give them a chance. I’m sure you can forgive them for not being as perceptive as you mate.

Aye, we were right to give them a chance imo and only with time could we genuinely know they weren't right for the club. Others were saying it from the start but I don't see how it could be from any great insight. Ultimately we had a rich owner but one who got all the footballing decisions wrong, lost interest, built up debt and was silent so there was never any communication of any plan from him. At the time it seemed like we needed the opposite. Donald didn't have loads of money, but promised to be committed, to get the football side right, to stop wasting money, to be open and transparent. It was exactly what we needed to hear. If he'd been better at running a football club it could have worked, at least enough to get us back to the championship and established there prior to selling to those with deeper pockets. Sadly it was all a gamble to get up and line his pockets, the mishandling of the academy being the prime example of it. Its very disappointing, but I don't think we were wrong to give them a chance at the start.

He's been gobbing off for that long which obviously means he's full of shit. Who would be trying to buy a company and spout off about it every couple of days.

He came from making a backside of running Eastleigh to own one of the biggest clubs in the country.

It didn’t take a lot of insight to be fair.

Nor do I mate.
