Why did they need to if there was no piracy issue? Ontop of that, Why would they favour Man City over Newcastle and treat them differently? At the time Man City were a midtable side who had just finished 9th in the PL.
So you're saying that the PL are changing the purpose of the test?

You asked for an example where the rules were applied differently,
Have you got any examples of the PL treating takeovers differently i.e. different regulations, depending on which clubs involved?
I provided an example.

You do like. All clubs have f***ing idiots on social media.

Do you think Man Utd's reverence of their number 7 shirt equally embarrassing?
Fuck off man you complete and utter knacker the way you lot have went on with this takeover shite has been completely and utterly embarrassing.

Seriously how many famous number 9s have you had and why do you come out with such cringe worthy f***ing shite and the most incredible thing about is that most of you morons believe it

Love a good cliché do the dirty mags.
Their gushing list is as endless as it is cringe worthy:
Army (Town)
Cathedral (Hill)
Nation (Geordie)
No.9 (Famous  )
52,000 (screamers)
Understand (don't)

Anyone feel sick yet ?

One is a private equity group, that I believe was set up with the purpose of purchasing Man City, the other is a sovereign wealth fund. Bin Salman is the crown prince. Mansour is part of the royal family, but probably isn't calling the shots.

The difference is, one deal was set up with the intent of satisfying the Premier League, and the other either either naively thought they could force their way in, or weren't actually that interested in taking over. My thoughts remain the same - if the Saudis really wanted this to happen, it would happen.
One is a private equity group because that's what they claim. The chairman is Sheikh Mansour. The deputy Prime Minister of UAE is Sheikh Mansour. Sheikh Mansour is the son of the founder of the UAE, the Union's first President. You'd have to be pretty naive to think that they're entirely separate.

I think the Saudis fucked this up, if they had their shit together they could have avoided this whole embarrassing mess.

2 of the best players to ever play the game wore the No7, along with many other world class players.

You had Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.
You mean the Premier League's top goal scorer Alan Shearer and 68 goal in 84 games Andy Cole? Plus we've had Hughie Gallacher, Jackie Milburn, Len White, Malcolm Macdonald...

The question is, do you deride Man Utd for celebrating their number 7? Your defense of them suggests you don't, which makes this whole thing f***ing silly.

We all know what's going on in reality, but there was just enough separation there to allow the PL to turn a blind eye. Abu Dhabi came with a well-structured deal, with a frontman who took attention away from the state. The Saudis, by comparison, didn't bother with a frontman, and then allowed someone (wonder who?) to leak out the initial story which made no secret that it was the state taking over.

There were ways around this. Abu Dhabi and Mansour laid out the blueprint. They decided not to bother with that.

.. Is he not infringing on RTS's copyright..

I thought he had realised how said it was to be doing what he was and gave up.

Come on Fish you are better than that. Huge gaps in years between each of those players...17 years from supermac to Cole, true you had Cole then Ferdinand and then Shearer but 10 years on, and no big name and it was 20 years before Supermac to Milburn. This is something a 92er would dream up as from 92 to date you had a big name (Shearer/Ferdinand/Cole) in 13 out of 30 seasons.
