That was MSD Partners, the other MSD company that invests for a wide range of investors (MSD Capital is the one that manages only Dell's money). They put cash into the Florida Marlins in the form of preference shares with a guaranteed 8% dividend per year.

Fuhrman was a partner in both MSD companies until last year, when he retired from those roles. He's a billiionaire in his own right (far richer than Short).
But let's talk cases ... safc is a dissttessed business with new restrictions imposed on it a load on cronies hanging off it. Day one what if anything can GF do.
This is my concern, and was my concern with FPP as a group, I'd much rather someone with less cash but good knowledge or experience of running football clubs. FPP by all accounts reached out to Marwood (I think to consult rather than jump ship) but literally got no response (not even a no) so if thats true they at least understand what they lack and hopefully he continues in this vein.
I'm desperate for change after the fuckle brothers chancer festival... but id love to know more about this guy why hes getting into this mess of a situation

Football is a graveyard for rich guys ... short blew a 3rd of a billion

Because he's got more money than sense and wants to have a go at turning a massive clubs fortunes around?

If you can get us back in the PL you stand to make a decent wedge compared to buying NUFC say who are already there. But it's most likely for the sporting endeavour as he's rich and bored.

Oh yes. He should absolutely not name his source. I am disregarding everything he says because of that tbh. It's a bit of a concern to me that he would even say that - putting his credibility on a f***ing message board, above the confidence of his source. Like, if its announced and done - who f***ing cares about the ITK stuff then? Proof of his credibility is in the pudding, not who his source is.

I don't hold any faith in any ITKs tbh, certainly not that one. My view is there is far too much smoke without fire for nothing to be happening - the mainstream journalists (who are fact-checked by legal teams) are all very knowingly "wink wink, nudge, nudge" too. I'm relaxed, but I honestly don't care or trust any of the gobshittery on this or the other site. Some people are just passing stuff on to be helpful because they are fans, others are trying to harvest all the attention going - bored of it.

I'm inclined to believe this too. I think something is happening, or there would have been a leak from one of the journalists there wasn't. If you are looking for buyers, then it isn't really in the clubs interest to have people believe you're already very close to a deal with a very very rich group. It would just put other poeple off or make them look elsewhere. Also, there is far too much stuff out and about for there not to be something. Downie hinted at it, Barnes has obviously said a little as well, plus you hear vague stuff from other people.

I do, however, believe that people are reading stuff off here and passing it off as their own information in the hope that it comes true and they look clever and 'itk'. But what is the f***ing point, nobody is going to treat you any better if you did, or didn't, know about something happening at the club before it was announced. We're all invested in this bastard football club, everyone wants us to be taken over, but don't play with people's emotions just for the attention you sad fucks.

So did short look what happened
To make that a reality the key skills are going to be recruitment and management
You can buy that but you need to know how to separate the talent from a market full of dross of which we've seen more than our fair share

Short put incompetent and inexperienced people in charge of the club and his money got continually wasted.

All GF has to do is employ competent folk and he'll have much more success than Short ever did.

Short employed a friends son to the board and even a newly qualified lawyer in Bryne to run the club.....he couldn't have made more of a shambles of the runing of the club if he tried man!

All GF has to do is employ people who are experienced in their roles in football and he'll do better.

Well if I was a Mag (God Forbid) the fact that Marwood hadn't said No would be a positive. Time to petition Marwood to accept the offer from FPP. Come on! You know it makes sense!

Magnus has said when this is all over he will name his source, the only way his source could have such detailed information is if they were subject to the NDA, thus by naming him surely Magnus would be opening him up to potential future legal issues.
If he does have a real source, there's no way that person wouldn't know/monitor what's then being posted by Magnus. Clearly, by Magnus saying that he'd name the source, you'd have to assume one of two things - either all updates after that comment are just made up bollocks (the source would not be happy about the promise of being named so would immediately stop feeding information) or if you believe the info then the source isn't bothered or worried about any legal implications in being named. The logical option would be that if there's an NDA in place any naming of a leak would be a big risk and therefore updates after that claim are probably not from the source or made up. @Grumpy Old Man what's the typical punishment potential of breaking an NDA of this nature?
