You have to think that the EFL will absolutely destroy us if we try to circumvent them with stuff like this though. Risk is that we get hung out to dry by them and fucked over because we have tried to be 'clever' and like Alvarez, we pay the price for years to come.
Let's hope whoever is involved with this takeover, it is a full takeover and they are better equipped to manage this situation. Wealth is not going to be as big an issue if this sticks, at least not in League One...

Are we completely finished with the Alvarez saga now?
It always struck me as odd that the whole episode about suing the medical consultant that didn't pick up Alvarez's knee problem came up while FPP were looking at the club last year. I suspect that was part of the outstanding business that they wanted sorted out before taking control. As with a lot of things under the Donald, it seems little or no progress has been made. There are three aspects - financial. legal and football. It's far more in depth than a standard audit, and will look forward as much, if not more. than back. So a forensic consideration of budgets and forecasts, as well as the integrity of the current numbers. All contracts will be crawled over for potential pitfalls, especially where personnel or supplier changes are contemplated. On a cross-border deal, on the assumption you use a large firm as advisors to your existing businesses, you'd use a UK office of your normal advisors (the big 4 all have offices in Newcastle, but, for confidentiality reasons, I'd be inclined to use staff from further afield).

The details are too convenient imo.My concern with Magnus' information, which I don't doubt is passed on in good faith by him, is that it's from a source in the club who has given him explicit permission to put it up on the internet with quite finite detail. I wonder what such a person would have to gain from that.
I wonder if, for example, it was Methven that was revealed to be his source would people be a bit more cynical and weary as to what he may be up to telling us this.

Perhaps I'm naive but I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt so I'm happy to take him at his word. It's more the source of his info I'm dubious about and what motives there may be behind wanting it public. The details are too convenient imo.
He's mentioned Furham because he's left FPP and put two and two together. Sartori because of Bob and Nixon's shifting shares around rumour. Rybovlev because everyone's been obsessed with the idea he'd get involved through Sartori because of his Monaco ties. The split is just the same split as now with Methven's shares allegedly going to Rybovlev. I think its completely made up but sounds great so people are going with it.

Somebody got in touch with me, suggesting I should privately contact a James Dolan. Suggestions there’s a link between he and Storey.
Reading between the lines, I think these (Storey et al) are the guys that reckon they put the ‘£35m bid that was turned down’ on the table.
Dolan appears to be a complete walloper as well, and is suing the government over lockdown.
These types should be nowhere near the club.
Misspelled name, it’s actually This bloke and he’s a much better option.Somebody got in touch with me, suggesting I should privately contact a James Dolan. Suggestions there’s a link between he and Storey.

Is it not Simon Dolan?
Or do you mean the New York Knicks guy?
