I agree with GOM - Mike Ashley’s said this before with the 900 “takeovers” for the mags, if it’s all over the papers it isn’t happening. Serious people come in, sign NDAs, do due diligence and have the money and acumen to get the deal over the line. Look at Storey - no real, serious investor would do what he’s doing. With proper deals, you don’t get any real info until the deal is signed, sealed and delivered.

This is not at you, but there is nothing happening, if a deal was close would you then bother getting rid of kit man and the washer woman who both been there 30 odd years.

We were about to sign Graham and Garbutt but the salary cap made it problematic. He wasn't wrong about us being close to sign him, that's for sure. Let's just all hope he's right...

Couldn't have been that close if the wage cap stopped it as everyone knew when it was coming in.

Seems like Garbutt dragged his heels because he didn't want to come and the wage cap was a good excuse to sack it off.
