Anderson finished?

A few of my mates were saying the same thing but there's too many variables this summer to say anything

TBH It wouldn't surprise me if Anderson tears it up in the coming games

It's becoming a regular occurrence now writing off the old guard, only for it to be followed by a gentle reminder of how good they can be
This is a good post from the first page.

I still think he’s a decent chance of playing the 2023 Ashes. Warne also thinking the same based on the Sky chat now.

What I’m not sure about is him being rotated in back to back tests as he’s a rythmn bowler.

He’ll be 40 won’t he?

Not that that matters, if he’s fit and his numbers are still up there.

42 by the end of it!

Even if he drops 2/3 mph he’ll still be effective.

I think he might be a stronger pick for 2023 at home than 2021 in Brisbane.

Yeah defo, I’d still take him over in 2021. But aye he’s much more effective at home.

His speeds are still impressive, been around 83/84 this summer?

86 I think...

But yeah people are disparaging about his away record but in my mind there’s only Aus and the last India tour where he’s really struggled.

To put his away record into context - he’s taken 216 away wickets which is only 10 wickets behind the career test totals of Flintoff and Harmison, at a better average that Flintoff and only very slightly worse than Harmison
