Are you arguing Jack Ross wasn't given a chance? We failed at every turn. Wracked up draw after draw playing utterly boring football. Failed to achieve automatic promotion, failed to win the EFL trophy and failed to win the playoffs.

He then failed to address key weaknesses in the team and our start to the season had us on a downward slide. He ran out of ideas basically and did not have the expertise to turn things around. He wasn't the only one to blame.

The issue with Parkinson is few fans wanted him in he first place, he splits opinion and apart from a 4 or 5 game spell last season, I saw little to suggest he's the right manager to lead us to promotion. I mean we missed out on the playoffs to Wycombe, Fleetwood and Oxford, it really was poor.
The answer surely can't be a new manager every season though?

PP deserves a pre-season.

I think the last manager that got a full one before JR was Gus.

Imo, they all deserve/deserved full pre seasons to do what they can.

Poyet in the RR podcast said that he wasn't given the freedom that he was expecting when it came to signings, that's why it went worse in the 2nd season. Hope it's not the same case still.

Here's what the Judge said about him in the High Court last year'.'
"He often did not answer questions directly, preferring to make speeches about his vision for his business or alternatively seeking to evade questions by speaking in generalities or in the third person plural. He only answered several questions when I intervened. He had a tendency to make impressive statements, which on further investigation or consideration were not quite what they seemed."
Classic populist

He signed scocco Buckley and bridcutt hardly a ringing endorsement of what he can do

Sacking manager after manager has resulted in us being where we are today IMO
Which managers that we've sacked en route to league one would you have kept in particular? Poyet maybe?

Keane - Resigned
Sbragia - Resigned
Bruce -Sacked
O'Neill - Sacked
Di Canio - Sacked
Poyet - Sacked

Advocaat - Resigned
Allardyce - Resigned
Moyes - Resigned
Grayson - Sacked

Its way overstated our reputation as a sacking club. Whats the alternative? Just keep managers who keep finishing lower and lower

The only decent thing Moyes did.

Take Di Canio out of it as it was always going to end badly as he is a lunatic... but if we had stuck with Bruce, O'Neill or Poyet do you really think we would be anywhere near where we are now?
