Lot of shit going on, Donald playing a blinder.
Just guessing but have a feeling that if one of the groups is GF, he was the one from FPP that was really keen on buying the club and the other 2 had reservations. That was why they decided on the loan option.
The fact that SD supposedly wants out and will sell to anyone then it is forcing GF hand.
Seems to me he could be stringing MG group along to one force GF hand even more and two to have as a backup just incase he fucks it up again.
Thats just my thinking as to how we have 2 credible posters with different info but I believe they are both getting genuine info

As FPP holds the debt over him couldn't Furnham scupper any deal with someone else though?
Actually a brilliant point that I had totally forgotten about. We’ve been told that FPP can veto any potential takeover if I remember correctly. Surely if they are in the race themselves they are logically going to win as they can block any other bid?

Not if Donald was given the loan balance to settle prior to another party purchasing the club.

They are in driving seat but wouldnt be impossible to overcome

I think there are obviously a few bidders and as one raises the offer, SD tells other then they raise and it goes on and on.

Maybe Friday is some pre agreed end point?

Like a legal version of "I will make my decision on Friday and inform everyone concerned"

Unless GF and co decide they just want their money back and to walk away rather than risk SD defaulting because we go into administration. Apparently, according to Magnus, it was the threat of losing the club to a rival bidder that made GF start talks to buy him out. Could be he decides not to bother and allows the MG group to take it instead.

Think they are up to £8.76 at the minute

Definitely a possibility. Just got to hope that GF has stuck around for this long as he always had the intention of taking the reigns rather than just to see the loan repaid.

Im thinking more a deal has already been agreed, Storey has offered way more but cant prove he has the money. The MG party been told to match Storeys offer

@rubberface how much do you trust your source?

Is it possible that they know they’re not in pole position and are drip feeding information out to remind Donald that they’re still there? Like a low key Storey perhaps?

Just a possible suggestion as to why there’s so much uncertainty over which group is in the leading position, of course it could be the other group doing the same thing

Without knowing anything regarding the group behind MG it's hard to say which option I'd prefer.

I'll say one thing about MG, he called the current owners intentions/limitations way before anyone else.

No involvement from GF you don't think? That one seems the most plausible to me.

Thats the agreed deal im referring to. Theres a lot of rumour though its not GF and that Barnes didnt get the bidder incorrect and its Phelan not Furhman
