Well 2 have failed again in the top order. How many more chances are they allowed in what is a short window of games this season?

In normal circumstances it wouldn’t be fair to drop a batsman after two poor games. It’s the kind of thing England used to do in the 90’s.

For me, as I said last week, you need atleast four games in my opinion to prove any form worthy of being dropped or being retained. In this circumstance I’d perhaps yield to 3 games.

Not exactly a wealth of talent waiting in the wings though.

he's had a poor start for sure but i think it's very early to drop him. especially when as you say, it's not like we've got others banging the door down.

we've had some poor signings to open recently haven't we? was it aiden markham who got a king pair on debut? and cook was poor
If you can't beat us you might as well pack up. Great win against Lancashire but reverted to type since. Pretty sure we'll be playing minor counties in a few years time. Not sustainable and when we do decide to make a signing the money is usually wasted on a long gone has been. Doesn't help that Nottinghamshire use us as an academy and nick all our decent players as soon as they show a bit of promise.

a win and a loss and you should be minor counties soon, are you a durham supporter in disguise?

I remember his scores for Durham in red ball being 0,0,0 and 94. ( the last two being in the famous win after following on and our opponents that match were ....Leics!)

Edit...Batting Point !!!!!!
