He’s also overseeing our use of academy loans at a time when any young player with promise is deciding that there is little future at Safc. He may not be a big part of that but he’s likely to be a part. Sadly that’s much more impactful to safc right now than some nice words from a successful Jordan.
To be fair to him it’s done Diamond the world of good. Unless you have status and power opening your gob just leads to unemployment and no influence whatsoever. He just being loyal. I’d have my gob open and be unemployed like but it doesn’t mean it’s always right.

Seems likely to me with the timelines. Donald saying there was currently no interest then within a week or 2 entering a period of exclusivity. Then all the rumblings R.E. Sartori...
Got to be,the evidence points to it.

what happens if Micky Gray or Billy come up with a far better offer to Donald and Donald wants to sell to either of those two but Juan and Charlie want to take it on instead?
Does Donald have the final say with being a major shareholder and force their hands or can Juan and Charlie dig their heels in and end up with the club?

Like to know what @Grumpy Old Man take on that scenario is as I think judging by Billy’s interview on the wireless that’s what looks like could happen possibly

It’s getting more and more confusing to keep up !

Its either:

FPP deciding to complete a takeover
Micky G and his wealthy middle eastern pals
Satori buying a few more shares to keep SD at the table
A mysterious Irish group
The mad pop man and his blue chip backing band

None of the above and it’s all complete fabrication
Don't forget David Beckham with Vince MCmahon and Bill Gates consortium

If Madrox is being sold, then Donald can simply sell his shares and the buyers get 74% ownership of it, and de facto control of Sunderland, but with two minority shareholders. 74% is awkward; it doesn't give them the control that 76% does. Methven's shares would give them that. If Methven is a problem, Sartori is the key; if they can get his shares it takes them past 90%, and they can buy out Methven compulsorily. On the other hand, if Madrox is selling its shares in Sunderland, then it's down to whether any vote is by the directors (one man, one vote) or the shareholders (one share, one vote).

In reality, Donald can do what the wants; he has enough shares in Madrox to remove Sartori and/or Methven as directors if he had to to get a sale of Sunderland to his preferred bidder.

Thanks very much for that.Much appreciated

He has been there over twenty years mate. You become stale and set in your ways after that length of time... I don't disagree about Henderson. Honeyman, who is a product but not a top player, has said much the same about Ball. The AoL is a Class 1 Academy and that is what I'd be expecting it to do, produce real quality..That has not happened regularly enough. Pickford and Colback aside, the production line has been so poor are the only other two or three others who you could say have came all the way through the kids, youth and u21's and made it. However, don't forget that there are players released by Ba;ll and McNamee now playing on a regular basis in the EPL. One lad he had a direct hand in letting go, a player who we are now trying to sign up was released by Ball as not good enough. As long as Ball is there he will not be signed. Nah, his times up for me.
Fair enough, he has been at the club a long time so maybe a freshen up wouldn’t be a bad thing. I just think he’s been under-utilised these last few years. Its a while since he was directly involved in the academy, which he only left to sort an injury out iirc. Even if he’s a poor coach or scout, he knows the standard needed to be a good pro and certainly knows what qualities are needed to be a success here. Even if not the main man, his last couple of years would have surely been more beneficial in an around the academy, as opposed to sitting on the end of the table at talk ins.
