I worked with a guy who had a £20million offer for his business sitting on the table, he kept thinking no.... I could float the company and make a lot more.

I left the business, but remained very close friends with him, the company didn’t ever get floated and ultimately went into receivership. He never once said that he regretted it though, he took a gamble and it didn’t work out.

Aye it was him and then everything came spilling out from Donald who then made a complete balls up of it.

i thought that was our one chance to have some real clout behind us and it would never happen again. If, and a big if these Dubai fellas are involved and we have a second chance it’s utterly unforgivable if Donald’s fucks this up. As if he’s not already at that point

That depends. If we state clearly what we’re looking for Eg investment / local or club connection and what we won’t accept eg captain caveman / same leadership / choices being made based on personal preference of Donald - i have nothing personally against Rodwell but it’s wrong that he has plenty to gain from certain people and has more influence and voice than the fans have
 
Donald is a strange bloke like, being petty and risking millions just doesn't make sense.

Thing is if he had something to stick to his guns about, was wrongly accused of something or bad mouthed without justification fair enough. You could say he is a proud man has principles etc...

Bet it isn't though bet it's someone who called him out in his bullshit early doors on his takeover and now he holds a grudge.

Probably wants to keep shares to maximise profit. His ego will be telling him he deserves it.

Only power fans have is staying away, would any new potential owners take that threat seriously? Donald won't be arsed if he is gone.
 
So am I meant to believe that Mickey Gray has managed to ring round his contacts and muster 3 "minted" Dubai businessmen in a couple weeks, opened talks, had a bid accepted entered a period of exclusivity?

And on top of that and despite all that Donald wont share his toys with Gray now because he called him nasty names?

I think even Storey's blue chip backers claim has more credibility than that
 
Im not doubting anyones info here but there is just something that doesn’t make sense to me. If donald thinks storey is a potential option why has the club basically come out and said his bid isn’t credible? Donald is a man who likes to be liked but if he ends up selling to someone who he has said has no chance he just ends up looking stupid again.

And imo when storey was on the radio he sounded like a man who knew he wasnt in the best position and had to convince people how good his bid is.

If however storey is a viable option I can’t see fpp allowing it so the question is, would Donald pay £10 million extra just because of his dislike for someone?

Jack was promised the world by SD when offered the job and none of what he was promised ever materialised. SD was a nightmare to work for, would constantly say one thing then do the complete opposite. He wanted fans that voiced displeasure banned for life from the stadium!
 
I'd rather take a punt on Unky Rich and his buddies from Qatar than Micky Gray and a few local business owners with not much investment. If Micky Gray's bid is serious, I just hope he has some serious backers.

Has Armstrong said much? Wasn't he involved in a bid for the club around the time Donald bought us?
