True story, when FPP were looking to buy SAFC last year they spent a great deal of time with Jack Ross talking about their plans and what his plans were as the manager, they liked Jack a lot and made it clear he would stay on as manager once the takeover was completed. They also made it clear that Donald wasn’t part of the plan and would be gone once takeover was complete e.g. full takeover not just investment. Fast forward a couple of weeks FPP walked away from the table and Jack Ross gets sacked, smokescreen by Donald to distract fans from failed takeover. Donald didn’t even have the balls to do the sacking himself and then ignored multiple calls from Jack seeking answers, the man is a spineless little chancer!

Maybe the Saudi billionaire's that were after Newcastle thought, hold on why pay 300 million for Newcastle when we can get Sunderland for 37, bounce us up the league's for 20 and have a nice tidy earner.

Think I'm right in saying (someone will correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure!) that he was the first one who mentioned FPP. That being said, whether this is something he's actually heard, or whether people have just tweeted him about dubai groups having read this thread, is hard to tell

Someome on this thread has said 3 from Dubai so hes going off here.

Really didn't rate Ross at all but the treatment he got from Donald and the club regarding his departure was utterly disgraceful and perfectly summed up what an absolute weasel SD is.

Thought so...he kicked off all the Dell stuff.

Interesting.

For the good of everyone we have to get this deal over the line if these people have major money.

SAFC can not be in Div 3 a second longer than we need to be.
What 37b mate?
My memory is a bit hazy...basically he said SAFC fans may have 37 billion reasons to be happy.

Some googled Dell and he was worth £37b.

Is he being cryptic here again? :-)

Watch STID, his wife keeps telling him to get rid..... like all businessmen of a certain ilk, they see a potential for a big payday and they think that that has a value. It would be a calculated risk that he may well be prepared to take....

I worked with a guy who had a £20million offer for his business sitting on the table, he kept thinking no.... I could float the company and make a lot more.

I left the business, but remained very close friends with him, the company didn’t ever get floated and ultimately went into receivership. He never once said that he regretted it though, he took a gamble and it didn’t work out.

We need to find a way to get our voices heard in this situation. RAWA? Roker Report ? I’d say this is the time for a consultation and a statement and some questions being asked of Rodwell and Donald’s intentions.
The problem is all we’re going off is what’s being said on here. Whilst I don’t doubt the information at all it’s difficult for RAWA and such like to challenge Donald/Rodwell based on info from @rubbberface on the SMB.

It could also compromise the lad and even the bid (if we’re not quite already at that stage).

This is where he's got it from. Hes just joking he's not one because he lives there.

Be nice if SD could adopt the same attitude. He's taken a gamble on flipping the club, it hasn't worked out. Time to sling his hook.
