Sale is close - Barnsey

This is the issue. I am seeing people say ' worth a shot in my book, give him a chance'. I could have walked to my local. Got a passionate, semi educated MLF and got him to do that interview.

Same people would say the same.

Devil is ALWAYS in the detail.
Whilst I have my doubts about this fella, you couldn’t walk down your local and get a sponsor of a super bike team.

He is clearly on the outside looking in, hence the public nature of his campaign, and it will be interesting to see who the backers are once the NDA is completed.

The veto is there until the loan is repaid. FPP need to be sure any buyer can repay the loan if it's still in place after any sale. Donald would need to repay the loan himself prior to any sale. The clause is about them protecting their own assets.
So if a cash upfront deal us done with SD they can be paid off without a veto?

Did he put a £1 in the Duke Box and play a ZZ Top number?
Seriously though you are definitely coming close to Swindon territory with some rollercoaster goings on. Hope it all works out but anyone can talk a good game.
Famous Swindon quotes that always raise a smile:
“We have more money than you can shake a stick at.”
“We have a fair few million already ring-fenced.”
Two different owners, two different load of bollocks and both equalled not a pot to piss in.
Just be careful and I know you will be. On the other hand just maybe one of these bullshitters will eventually turn out right.
Im neither here nor there with it mate. Had our fingers burned already and what will be will be. I just hope whoever gets the club gets it for the right reasons, and is equipped to do the job asked of them.

Sounds like a bizarre and quite worrying arrangement if FPP can't simply be paid back what they are owed and instead have a veto over any takeover. I really don't like the sound of this at all.

Not sure how it is set up, but it's been mentioned that they can simply be paid off and then would have no say in it. Thing is though, it might have some form of early repayment clause (similar to many mortgages), if so, it could be that it'll add a hefty chunk onto the cost if they want to get FPP out of the equation

Just listened to his total sport interview. He talks well and sounds enthusiastic (which you would expect)

We’ve been here before. I want to believe him and want to get excited but I have my doubts. I’d love to know who these 4 world class business men are.

One want Donald involved, other party doesn't mate.
So just to clarify. The gray party don’t want Donald so he’s picking the others so he can stay involved and Rodwell who may lose his job otherwise is now drinking with Storey. This stinks tbh. Honestly I will not spend another quid on a club with that sneaker little shyster involved if this is once again all about him. Oh by the way- it sounds like the FPP who invested in him can’t wait to get rid. He is full of crap.

Sounds every bit as much of a chancer as Donald and almost as much of a lunatic as Di Canio. Absolutely no chance that any credible backers would give him the time of day.

I very much doubt they're broke. They're in formula one and American motor sport.

Donald has already said that he wouldn't give anyone time of day unless they show proof of funds.

So do you think Donald has accepted an offer without any evidence of funds? Or that there has been no bid accepted at all because he doesn't have the funds?

Who, apart from Storey himself, has even hinted that his bid's been accepted?
