An absolute cracker. Funny to listen to and I don’t disagree with everything he said but I don’t want someone like that in charge of the club.
Taking him at his word - he is a footballing person, he seems to have an understanding of the area, he is passionate, he has a 10 year plan etc. That's what we want - if he has good backers then why not?

Typical Storey. Banged on and on and on throughout social media to get this opportunity. Got people listening in. Was explosive as possible with consistent soundbites, trying to marry up to Safc fans with digs at financial suits (which he has always been surrounded with/likes the image of) mags etc. No actual detail, nearly caught himself up with the Marco comment (whilst he is actually in the sudio). Identification of 5 players with no clue about salary cap. Taking the piss out of actual successful billionaire groups.

Still stick to my initial information. The other group is in box seat. He won't be getting it. It's all bluster and to try and raise his own profile.

The thought did cross my mind. He would fit the profile of one of the financial backers (not the sports people of course as he pointed out haha!)

Said he'd had lots of conversations with him....could make sense. But would ES wanna be back involved? Lost a lot of dosh!

Ellis & Uncle Bob 2 of the 4 😉

Yes, I agree. If the backs are serious and credible then we should be happy with what he says. The problem is we all believe he's a fantasist. Interesting that he says the club know who the 4 are - they would have to obviously but they will only sell if these guys have the £30 odd million.

Kept pointing out that FPP are hindering the sale - so wonder if they are setting crazy demands and it's not just SD being awkward like most think?

From what little I know, Short would have no interest in coming back. He knows he messed up, knows he lost a lot of money and wouldn't be any more confident about getting it right this time.

As I said on the other thread the key is who are these 4 backers - if they are credible and, as he suggests, we will be impressed when we find out who they are then you'd have to say everything he said was totally spot on. The problem is that we don't know who the backers are and are, therefore, understandably sceptical.
I don't trust that his 4 backers would be trustworthy if they are brought in by him he is being popularist just like Don and co were at the start. Big up fan base and club, have a go at everyone prior, make yourself seem a salvation

Didn’t listen - can’t tell if usually sensible posters are being serious or taking the piss when they say they love him.

Not seen @rocky gushing like this since Cattermole signed that mega extension years back

I simply don’t believe him is the honest truth. His interview about getting the premier league players to the papers for a start. His company is basically a logo, his failed stint in F1 and his views on Covid on his social media is just not what I’d like as the owner of our club.

He said we would know of 2 of them - we will have a good idea of what they are about. We obviously don't believe him but if these 4 are credible, have good backgrounds etc. then we should give him a go. I am equally as sceptical but the backers are the key.

Unless he had the right people around this time. That was always the issue and I think he accepted that in the end didn't he?

Minds doing overtime here, whee is gonna win this race and drive us forward?!
