As I said on the other thread the key is who are these 4 backers - if they are credible and, as he suggests, we will be impressed when we find out who they are then you'd have to say everything he said was totally spot on. The problem is that we don't know who the backers are and are, therefore, understandably sceptical.

And he accepted that. Was then quick to say once we do know, we will be at ease.

I can't help but be excited

If he has the cash to buy the club, and the backers, only bad decision making will put us out of business, not this bloke on his own.

Haway the beard!
He wouldn’t be the first to buy a club without actually having the funds, the EFL is littered with clubs who’ve been decimated by one invidual, just look at Blackpool. I’m worried is all I’m saying.

Yes, I agree. If the backs are serious and credible then we should be happy with what he says. The problem is we all believe he's a fantasist. Interesting that he says the club know who the 4 are - they would have to obviously but they will only sell if these guys have the £30 odd million.

Well that was entertaining. Financial f***ing Locusts man, want to nick it, flip it and sail off for their Pina Coladas.

At the end of the day if its this bloke the success or failure is going to come down to who the backers are and how much control he actually has. How much Rich Energy the company has in the bank means nowt if hes a minority shareholder. I get people's concerns of course but really any takeover is a risk. Everyone was owa the knot about FPP but we had absolutely no idea what their plans for us were or how capable they are.

Sounded like the only one he didn't have a pop at in terms of ownership was Ells Short..... I wonder?

The thought did cross my mind. He would fit the profile of one of the financial backers (not the sports people of course as he pointed out haha!)

Said he'd had lots of conversations with him....could make sense. But would ES wanna be back involved? Lost a lot of dosh!

The crap we've been through with SD and co, I'd be concerned about anyone who wasn't worried mate - next 'future' has to be the right 'future' - we're not in a good place to put up with much more crap.
